Chinatown apartment

Great apartment in a building built in 2015. 7 minute walk from patco. Pretty affordable rent compared to other Philly apartment complexes. Very student-friendly as many Cooper and Temple podiatry students live there. Great restaurants.

910 Cherry St- Chinatown

Love my apartment building and the rent is very nice. Would highly recommend living in Chinatown as it is close to the train, close to Reading, and close to Center City. MY specific building has some frustrating appliances as they are all energy savings and that comes with some drawbacks (washing and drying a load of laundry takes 3.5 hours), and the walls are rather thin with very heavy doors. Can easily hear neighbors

Great place to live

I loved my two year stay here. I’ve never had to call for maintenance once for an issue during my stay here which sounds impossible but very true. All the appliances within the apt are relatively new and work amazingly. Staff is friendly. Building has cameras everywhere so I felt very safe. The neighborhood has amazing food since it’s in Chinatown and is in a very central location for the best bar districts the city has to offer. Great place to live!

Great Location, but loud and problematic

This apartment spacious, but the design of the kitchen makes the cooking area small. The location is great, as downtown Philly and Chinatown are walkable distances. It can get pretty loud here due to construction and fire trucks. We've also had some problems with leaky sinks and ceilings as it is a renovated building, but management is very good in terms of response time and getting things fixed. The walls are also extremely thin, so you can easily hear outside your door and hear floormates. If asked to live here again, I probably wouldn't, as I would prefer a quieter area.

Loud, with management issues

This apartment is loud! Right next to a fire station you will wake up at all hours of the night. Although it looks new, everything in your apartment will break. Management told me that every room facing west has a leaking ceiling, something they "at this time cannot fix".

Convenient location, faux-lux quality

910 Cherry Street has some nice features: secure intercom/badge entry, great Center City location in Chinatown (safe and populated area), responsive management. It's pet friendly (with a non-refundable deposit), is super close to tons of Chinese restaurants and stores, and it is about a block from Jefferson Station. They also allow online rent payments, which is very convenient. However, it's a bit overpriced for the building quality - the building renovation was clearly done in a hurry. We've had multiple maintenance issues since we moved into our unit: leaky pipes, broken heat/AC, dripping faucets, etc. There was also construction going on right outside the building for a few weeks in the middle of the night (although that hasn't happened for a few weeks now, but hopefully it's done!). In short, the location is nice, but there's enough hassles that I don't plan to renew my lease when it ends. I wish there was a front desk/concierge and a fitness center to make the cost more justifiable.
