Overall good place to live, rarely can hear my neighbors unless my apartment is dead silent. First year or two the fire alarm would go off on average once a week but that is no longer a problem. Is right next to Fox Theatre making it easy to attend events there however traffic gets congested starting about 1 hour before each performance and management will let the theatre goers pay to park in the apartment parking garage. That being said there has always been space to park there even on show days.

Apartment is right next to the SLU undergrad and is situated close to the medical school and main hospital and within walking distance of John Cochrane VA however I would not walk there at night. Did have my car broken into once while living here for 3.5 years.

The neighborhood is very convenient for accessing campus, particularly the Business School and Library; it is a five minute walk to much of campus. You are a bit further away from many of the haunts of most undergrads, but you are closer to the arts district than most other options near campus. As with most areas around campus, it is unfortunately not the safest, though things are getting better.

Occasionally cars get broken into or people get robbed in the back alley. These incidents have always been well past midnight and the people getting robbed were drunk or their car was left open.

This is a good place to live that allows you to travel quickly to many other areas in STL quickly. I like being a few blocks away from Central West End where there are good restaurants and a Whole Foods. I feel fine walking to different places around SLU's main campus.

It's not the best neighborhood, but also not the worst. It's safe during the day, and at night it's fine if you drive.
