Great management and well kept houses

After coming from a okayish management, we moved into Gardner Street Apts and we love it here!
The house was open and airy, had a lot of sunlight coming in and the management company is highly appreciable. They come for follow ups and to just check if we are doing okay, which is great!

Not so bad

Walkable to BU. The management is not so good. Maintenance is slow.

Warm, cozy, good location

I live in a "garden level" apartment (basement with slightly bigger windows). It's actually been great, keeps warm during the winter and relatively cool during the summer. Only thing is, if you value your privacy you need to keep the blinds closed at all times. Size is just right too, pretty small overall but very open so it doesn't feel as small. Also can't really beat the location for a student, it's reasonable walking distance to school and gym, right by the Packard's Corner T stop, and close to Brighton Ave and Harvard Ave bars and restaurants. Also about a block from the Star Market. Management is relatively good, you don't really hear from them unless you need something and they keep the building in pretty good order. The only real complaint I might have is that there is not great sound insolation from my upstairs neighbors, who I think have little kids that can be heard running all around sometimes.

This apartment complex is home to many undergrad and grad students of Boston. It is located off the Packard's Corner stop of the Green Line B and is close to Boston University, Harvard, and other college campuses. There are many gyms close by and social spots for people to explore. It is not too far from the Charles River and is perfect for a student looking for an affordable and central space. The neighborhood is safe at all hours of the day and is close by grocery stores and gas stations.
Allston is a good place to live. We are right on the B line, so easy access to the train. We are right next to Harvard Ave so there are lots of restaurants and things to do in the area.
Almost all of my neighborhood are all kinds of apartments. And lots of students in BU live here. So it's safe. Though sometimes students would hold some parties until 2 am, in general, it's suitable to live.
It has all facilities nearby. T station is just a min walk away and its convenient.
It's an amazing neighborhood, a lot of interesting things around
Allston feels very safe and has a lot of good cheap food options. There’s lots of other students here and has a more alternative/grunge feel about it. It’s one of the cheapest neighborhoods in Boston and not the most beautiful but I have enjoyed living here.
Love Allston. Lots of
Good food and right by the B line. No complaints on that front. Maybe a little questionable at night.
The building is located on the edge of streets with a lot of restaurants and activity, so there are lots of bars and places to eat within walking distance. You can also walk to the Charles in about 15 minutes. It's a quick commute to Kenmore or Brighton. One downside is that there is a lot of construction happening right now and not a lot of green space for our dog when we walk around the building.
