Management sucks

Management is completely useless and could care less about tenants after they have signed a lease. I can also confirm that the sewage issue is completely ridiculous, myself and my roommate have gotten on average 140$ bills just for water and sewage for each month of our stay....WOW!. I brought this to the attention of the leasing staff and they also gave me lame excuses about it being the county's fault and tried making me feel in the wrong for thinking this is absurd. Rather than throw away 140$ a month you can stay in a much nicer complex in a much better location with better management. Don't let the 'updated' look fool you, linoleum floors, maintenance will never fix any issue that you have without having to pester them almost every week.

Awful Management

Management has changed for times in 11 months.

They are rude, entitled and I think steals our packages. Several times my packages arrive at the office and the tracking information says delivered to management office but somehow no one in the office has seen it.

High Turnover

Management turnover is frightening. I have been here since March and in 4 months we have had 2 new managers, and none of the faces that originally signed me up are there anymore. It's NOT encouraging when the brightest and most helpful management members quit.....
Since the 3rd shift in management there have been times where the dumpsters are not cleared and trash PILES around it to the point where raccoon and other rodents dive in. Oh, and dumpster divers have been caught trying to find personal information in peoples' trash, so that's always horrifying.

Viera review

Reasonable cost in a good location but suffers from fatal flaw of poor management. Really high turnover rate in the leasing office, so problems that come about under one regime are not followed up on by new employees. I would recommend it overall.

Not the Best Not the Worst

My neighbors are like myself, young-20-or-30-something professionals, some with kids, very friendly.

The neighborhood looks nice, attractive, big. The one thing here to note is that it is not well lit, so don't go traipsing about at night with no care, be aware of your surroundings.

There is plenty of parking which is refreshing given my past experiences in apartments.

Sure, when I moved in the shelf in the laundry room was hanging off the wall, completely broken BUT I do not consider that a design flaw of the neighborhood or even management, I call that cheap, cost effective design of apartment living. Furthermore, googled the problem and was able to fix it myself.

This new office staff SUCKS so bad! I was in the gym and *ALL* of the tvs were blasting loudly and their radio was also very loud. There are clear glass windows so that the office staff overlook the fitness center. So I called while I was in there to ask if they could either mute the 5 TVs play 5 different channels OR turn down the music. I saw the girl giggle, pick up the phone and put it down. The heat is also on full blast in the fitness center even in the summer so be prepared to sweat.

Management has changed 4x in 12 months and that is also a red flag. All in all I would avoid.

Large pet friendly community on large property

Older property that was recently renovated. Pros: Property is generally safe, has a great pool and BBQ area, and a nice small dog park. Cons: Only one dumpster located in the back of the property, Maintenance can take a while to fix problems. Overall an better than average place to live.

Getting around North Druid Hills

North Druid Hills Reviews

It's a prime location for getting around the city! I can get to midtown, Decatur, inman park, etc. in about a 20 min drive or less. The drive to school each morning is about 10-15 mins with little to no traffic. The area is safe with tons of restaurants and shopping. The only downside is that it's not close to any prime nightlife scene, but Ubers aren't too expensive. Incredibly safe which is something I was looking for as a woman living alone. There's no perfect place, but for the amount of space I have (850 sq ft), safety, proximity to school, and easy access to other areas in the city, it can't be beat.
North Druid Hills is a lovely neighborhood and one that I am happy to be living in as my first exposure to Atlanta. There are beautiful tree lined streets and its proximity to Emory is a great selling point.
Beautiful houses and trees, calm, quiet community.
It's an open area with trees. Very close to Emory campus as well as the Toco Hills plaza (Kroger, Publix, many restaurants). Further down Clairmont at the intersection with North Decatur road, there's another Publix as well as some other restaurants in the plaza.

Golden Drop Cafe--which has outdoor seating incase the pandemic is still uncontrolled when you read this--is just 3 min. down the road. Mason Mill Park, which has tennis courts, a pavillion, and walking trails, is also very near.
Very convenient location as far being somewhat close to a lot of different areas though it itself isn't where the night life or all the best restaurant areas are. Lots of grocery options very close by, including Whole Foods, Krogers and Publix.
My wife and I love walking through the beautiful homes in the local neighborhood. It is a very safe area even at night.
You can find any type of store or restaurant that you would ever need within a 5-15 minute drive.
My wife and I go on walks around sunset most nights through the neighborhood. Have never felt unsafe. Neighbors are all very friendly along our walks. Lots of beautiful homes to gawk at.
