Berger Building Reciew

I would definitely recommend the Berger Building if you're looking for a spot outside University City or Rittenhouse. It is a great value compared to other prices in the area. The building has a small gym and a nice public courtyard which includes a grill for residents to use. The building is secure with gate access. Management does a good job of responding to issues. Many residents have pets without issue. The walls and floors do allow some noise to travel between units.

Just OK

Wasn't a great fit for us. Good amenities like a common room in the basement but overall not very clean. The rugs, walls, staircases were very dirty. The elevator is extremely slow but not a big deal for us since we didn't use it. A lot of smoking in places that were suppose to be nonsmoking and the hallways usually smelled of smoke. Was told when we moved in that there is a loading space outside the building to drop off grocery ect and then that spot was taking away a month into renting. The handyman/building manager is great and always responded to repairs really quickly. Great area.

Boutique Apartments. Great Neighborhood.

This building as been great. Very dog & people friendly. Friendly neighbors and surprisingly quiet for being in Old City. Rooms are on the smaller side and need to be creative with your space. Common areas are very clean and management is very fast at responding to any issues.

Modern Building in Great Old City Location!

Modern building located in the heart of Old City! It's still quiet because it's off the main drag of restaurants and bars. Pet friendly. Very social, young professional building. Close to public transport and everything the city has to offer! Love it!

We love our neighborhood. I think being north of Market street is a most in old city. We are on a quiet cobblestone street away from the noise and rowdiness of market street. We have great artisan shops and restaurants around us and a perfect local coffee shop just outside our door. I love our area and encourage friends who live in Rittenhouse or grad hospital to walk the extra blocks on a nice Saturday to shop local and enjoy this great side of the city.
Old City is a neighborhood where all ages can find something to do and enjoy. It's generally a very safe area with lots of beautiful things to see.
Old City is beautiful and historic. The building is a 10-15 minute walk from the real Old City. This building is more on that industrial border between Old City and NoLib/Fishtown.
Can be a bit tourist-filled at times, but there is always something to do!
We have a great neighborhood with a bunch of things going on.
Living in Old City has been great - it's a really convenient location, close to public transit, and feels much safer than other places in Philadelphia. Lots of greats bars and restaurants nearby. That said, the rent is pretty expensive so it might be a wider idea to purchase rather than rent.
Old City has revitalized like no other: great for couples, singles, young families and working professionals. Endless shopping and dining and safe to boot! I have never loved a neighborhood so much.
Old City is a beautiful and lively neighborhood. Only drawback is lack of a good grocery store and difficulty finding street parking.
