Old City — 8.8/10 Rating (based on 13 neighborhood reviews)
We love our neighborhood. I think being north of Market street is a most in old city. We are on a quiet cobblestone street away from the noise and rowdiness of market street. We have great artisan shops and restaurants around us and a perfect local coffee shop just outside our door. I love our area and encourage friends who live in Rittenhouse or grad hospital to walk the extra blocks on a nice Saturday to shop local and enjoy this great side of the city.

Old City is a beautiful and lively neighborhood. Only drawback is lack of a good grocery store and difficulty finding street parking.

Living in Old City has been great - it's a really convenient location, close to public transit, and feels much safer than other places in Philadelphia. Lots of greats bars and restaurants nearby. That said, the rent is pretty expensive so it might be a wider idea to purchase rather than rent.

I love Old City. The shops, art museums and restaurants are fantastic. There are a lot of tourists on the weekends that clog up the sidewalks but other than that, there are really no drawbacks to this part of town.

Old City is beautiful and historic. The building is a 10-15 minute walk from the real Old City. This building is more on that industrial border between Old City and NoLib/Fishtown.

Living in Old City is great. There are great bars and restaurants all over. The history of the city is all over and it is a true taste of America. On the down side, there can be excess noise at night which takes some getting used to.
