Nice place to live

Prices in Navy yard are a little expensive but the building is pretty new and has high ceilings and hard wood floors which is really nice. There are also a lot of nice amenities; there's a gym, pool, hot tub, party room, 24-hour concierge, and loading dock.

Underrated location, great amenities

My reasonably priced apartment is perfect for my stage in life and my work location. I have never felt unsafe, the lobby is very pretty, and I have few if any problems. Love the walk in closets. It is in the Navy Yard, which is filled with great restaurants, and it is a perfect up-and-coming place to get to know.

Capital Hill Tower

A fantastic place to rent. The residents are primarily owners, so everyone truly cares about the community and upkeep. Management is truly fantastic, and the extras are just amazing. There is a indoor pool, a wonderful gym, and beautiful courtyard that is only available to residents.

CHT

It's a great building in Navy Yard, an area that's been growing rapidly over the past few years and continues to grow. Thus, there is a lot of construction in the area which is sometimes frustrating. However, this is a very nice building, the units have hardwood floors and there's an indoor pool which is not as common among the other big apartment buildings in the area.

Great apartment!

I have been living at Capitol Hill Tower for a few months now and really love it! The management has been great, and any building-wide issues have been addressed and fixed in a respectable manner. The building is situated in a lovely place next to Canal Park, with the Yards a stone's throw away. I wish the neighborhood had a few more fast-casual places to grab food, but those will come as the neighborhood builds up. Unfortunately though it seems like the Capitol Riverfront is not immune to the recent crime surge DC has been experiencing, but as long as you have common sense you should not feel unsafe. Gym is lovely but a bit basic, and the indoor swimming pool/ hot tub is a great feature, especially in the winter months! Our apartment itself has lovely views--windows everywhere. Gas stove, newer appliances, and enough space in the bedrooms. One gripe is that the main space closet is very small, so there is not much storage available. Overall I am quite pleased with my stay so far!

Parking was terrible!

I really like this building in terms of location, space, and amenities (pool & gym). But, parking here was crazy since it shares a garage with the hotel next door and is also steps from the baseball stadium. Good luck trying to find a space (that you've paid for!) on a game day.

I love this area! We're close to metros, grocery stores, and great local businesses. It's a very close walk to parks and the Anacostia waterfront. It can feel removed from the law school, which I enjoy, though if you're new to the area it can be more challenging.
I love the Riverfront so much. There are bars and restaurants, a great grocery store, plenty of events and things to do, and there's something new being built every day. The metro is accessible within a few blocks of most apartments as there are two entrances, and the population is full of pet-loving young professionals. Did I mention the Nationals stadium is in the middle of it all? I can't wait to see what my hood looks like in 5 years.
The neighborhood is largely under construction but in ten years or so it will be awesome. In the meantime, there are a lot of great restaurants, the waterfront, and the baseball stadium.
The areas is constantly changing with new restaurants and bars. During the summer the the Yards Park is one of the most beautiful and popular parks int he city!
Looking forward to more grocery stores and shops opening, but I like the quiet of the neighborhood. Easy walk to the water and the Capitol.
I love walking around this neighborhood because it is rather quiet and residential. There are many parks nearby.
The neighborhood has been fantastic. Tons of construction of new restaurants and retail. Great to explore.
This is an up-and-coming area of DC as I understand it. Most of the things around here are new. It's a little expensive, but most of DC is that way as well. A lot of the people who live here seem to be young professionals. There's lots of parks for dogs. It's a pretty area with plenty to do and it's quieter than other parts of DC I've visited. Not quite as cute as some other areas, but that's ok. It has its own thing going on.
