Pet Owner Living Alone @ Shoreview 1bd 1 bath
Really enjoy the living space, renting a unit facing towards the west so I get really nice afternoon sunlight and my unit is facing a slight downhill so even though it's on the first floor it does not feel like it. Location next to Argo Park is incredible, allowing for evening strolls by the river and access to the B2B trail for biking/running/walking. About 30 minute walk to med campus or ~10min bike ride. Also is ~5min walk from bus line.
Pet rent is extra per month ($35 per pet). Parking is free. Apartments are carpeted. Underwent renovations in the past 5 years so appliances are new/in good condition. Overall price for space is lower compared to other apartment complexes in and around medical campus area. Only major dislike is the laundry situation, there is only 2 washer and 2 dryer for 16 units and it's about $2 per load.
Downside to renting here is that you will likely have to get on a waitlist 2-3 months in advance so do keep that in mind if applying to live at Shoreview. I would say it was worth the wait!

Shoreview Apartments
So far living here has been amazing! The location is GREAT if you love nature, as it is close to Arbor Park (there is a 2.5 mile walking path right near the river, a boat launch and kayak and tube rental shack in the summer). It is also about a 25 min walk to MSRB (or there is a bus 65 that takes you right outside the cancer center). The walk is about the same to Kerry town (or there is a bus 23 that takes you down town). The bus stop is like a 5 min walk from the apartments. It is an extremely quiet and family oriented neighborhood. There is also a coffee shop (Lowertown) that just opened, which has amazing coffee and is usually open until 4 or 5pm most days- they do trivia on Tuesdays and have food truck events, weekend artisin markets and happy hours!! The staff is also very responsive and helpful! You get additional storage in the basement, so you can put boxes, bins and luggage down there! The only downsides: in 2 person apartments one room is MASSIVE and the other one is much smaller. Also, you have to pay 2.50 for the washing machine and 2.25 for the dryer which adds up.

Great apartment close to nature and med campus!
I work at the hospital, and Shoreview has been such a great location! Walkable to med campus (~20 minutes) and downtown (~15-20 minutes), and right next to the Argo and Bandemer Nature Areas. The kitchens were all renovated fairly recently, and the apartments are generally on the more modern side (particularly for the price). Each apartment has a storage unit included in the rent cost in the basement, which has been really helpful! It's a slightly quieter community, mostly made up of graduate students and working adults. My only complaints are the lack of central A/C (second floor units can get warm in the summer) and the laundry facilities (in building, but ~$4.75/load with small machines).

Great Apartment Complex
So far, I have loved living at Shoreview. It's a great location, only around a 20-minute walk to the medical campus and not much further from central campus and two close busing options (the 63 and the 23, if you're going to the medical campus). It is also on a dead-end street, which means it is never super busy. There are trails right behind the complex that are beautiful in the summer. The apartment is updated and spacious. Pet friendly as well. Theres nice big windows in both the living area and bedroom. There are also storage units for each apartment which is great if you have stuff, you do not want to keep in your apartment. There is also an AC unit, which is great for the summer. The only downside is the laundry is kind of expensive, and the laundry machines are not very big. We also had ants when we moved in, but as if you get ant traps it's not too much of a problem.

Shoreview Apartments
Shoreview is a great apartment complex, its mainly graduate students and a very quite area. Very close to Argo Park and trails, with a quick walk to Lowertown for a coffee or a drink. They keep the groups very clean, and maintenance is pretty responsive. The rent is relatively affordable for how close to the medical campus it is. The main downside to the complex is the laundry is not in unit.

Good stay
So far nice stay. We had plumbing issues at time. But the management is really good at taking care of it. Nice calm space.

Renovated, far from campus but right on the river
Though the building is older and has the maintenance issues you might expect from that, the maintenance team is super responsive and all units have been renovated recently. Also, it's far from campus, but it's RIGHT on the Huron River and could not have a nicer view/river walk access.

Shoreview
I love living at Shoreview! The apartments are clean and mostly newly updated. The maintenance staff is so helpful. The location is great! Less than 30 minute walk to the hospital or med school and less than 10 minute bike ride. Plus you're right on the river!

Great place for Adult Students
I am a UofM graduate student whose classes are almost entirely located in Central Campus. My partner is teacher at a local public school. We have both found this place to be an incredible experience for the price.
Amenities: apart from the pool, which was recently overhauled, the amenities are few.
Location: this is the best (and potentially worst) aspect of this apartment. It is tucked in a corner just off of Argo Park, which is absolutely stunning at all times of the year. Close enough to walk to Kerrytown and downtown if you're up for a longer walk. That being said, if you aren't a walker, then I this might not be great for you. The parks and trials nearby are amazing and are great especially if you have a dog or a young child.
Staff: good staff, but can be slow. I have resolved every issue or concern I have ever had with the staff. Sometimes it takes a few calls to get them to do it though.
