Location Location
Incredible location for anyone working long hours at the hospital or medical school. 3 minute walk to childrens, 7 minute walk to the main hospital, 10 minute walk to Vandy undergrad campus for a quick walker. Downside is constant hospital noise--ambulances, firetrucks, police, and helicopters are always running through the neighborhood. Also been a problem with street racers barreling through late at night. Not an issue unless you're a light sleeper.

Prime Location
Incredibly close to Vanderbilt Campus, it's a 3 minute walk to Children's hospital. The little gym is lovely and the apartments are very spacious. Maintenance is very fast and will often get to me same day. Downsides are the mandatory trash service that is more expensive than my electric bill some months. Also no recycling with the trash service, you will have to do it yourself. Pet friends, spacious, quiet inside but plenty of outside noise, amazing location in Hillsboro Village.

Convenient location, high price
The location of Village 21 is extremely convenient to VUSN campus and grocery stores. I enjoy Hillsboro village because it is not as loud and busy as music row or the Gulch might be. I have felt safe living alone as a female. While there is actually minimal security within the complex itself, night activity is very minimal and I have not had any security concerns as of yet.
The price is extremely high however it does follow the increase in rent prices throughout Nashville. I believe that this was the best option as a female looking to live alone in terms of location, accessibility and safety.

Expensive, but worth it
Village 21 is very good at meeting the needs of its renters. While the apartment is nothing extremely special for the price, it is VERY close to VUSN (10 minutes walking) which I thought was incredibly important in the pre-specialty year. I was able to walk to and from Vanderbilt frequently to attend class, meet friends, or study. The convenience was worth the price, in my opinion, for the pre-specialty year.
