Jeannie Apartments

Overall, I like living here. It is an affordable 2-bedroom in a very convenient and quiet area of town. The complex is an old building that has been remodeled fairly recently. The drawbacks are related to the age of the building (old style windows, not super well insulated, thin walls allow you to hear normal daily activities of your neighbors). There is very little green space around the complex, so I would say it's not a great location for dog owners.

I have lived at the Jeannie Apartments since I started the NP program about 16 months ago and am overall satisfied with this complex as the location is great and the rent is incredibly reasonable (no pets are allowed here though!). There are a fair amount of other nursing students who live here as well. I will say that over the course of the year, these apartments have felt a little less safe than in the previous year, but the management has been working very hard to set up better security and promote a safer atmosphere for all its residents.

-Close to Vandy (driving ~4min, biking ~12min)
-Bedrooms have a lot of natural light
-Kitchen and living room have no/limited natural light
-Parking is free and free for all
-The landlord is super friendly

Although this apartment complex is a bit older, it has been a perfect fit for me so far! It is very reasonably priced, in a safe area, and the apartments are clean and well taken care of. I highly recommend this complex to any student wanting an affordable option without a lot of amenities in the complex itself.

I love how close the apartment is to campus and how affordable it is. I am grateful to be able to bike to and from school. I wish that there was more natural light in the unit.
