Berrytree Apartments

the carpet was wet randomly one day. i have some stuff that suffered water damage. nothing was done! they just told me to wait it out! do i need to say anything more?? also the ceilings are so creaky i cannot stay asleep when someone upstairs is walking around.

Overall good place to live. Very close to school, pretty quiet area. Decent amenities including pool, hot tub, small dog park

Apartments are kept relatively clean, location is good (close proximity to school), management is very accommodating, and appliances are not too old. Good value for what you get. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of restaurants nearby, but there are some close enough to drive.

Lots of space. Building is old and requires maintenance from time to time. Very quiet for a grad student

I've lived at Berrytree apartments both years in East Lansing and it is close enough to the school to where you can walk 15-20 minutes to Radiology, but usually drive anyway during the winter. They offer paid covered parking, otherwise parking is still free. It is far enough off campus that there isn't many undergraduate students, but there still are some. If there is ever noise, it is on gamedays. The walls and windows are also sound-proofed and so I've never heard much from neighbors, and even the train (which is right by the apartment) is usually just loud enough to notice there's one passing by, but quiet enough to stay asleep or ignore it during the day. Only amenity not included is electricity. Clubhouse has pool with hot tub, small gym, and kitchen/hang out area. Only issue we could have maybe improved is that A/C is in the wall and doesn't reach the furthest bedroom, and our unit had basement laundry (but there are some units available with in-unit washer/dryer)

Very affordable, close, and comfortable living option compared to all other locations in the area, especially if you find or apply for a roommate. Many amenities covered in monthly rent except electricity. Pet friendly. Close to medical school campus (<5 minute drive). Furnished apartment options offered. Some units with in-unit laundry, otherwise paid washer/dryer in building laundry rooms. Plenty of room, >1000 sq ft.

Amazing place for medical students

Pros: newly built fenced in area for dogs, outdoor pool and hot tub, small gym, super close to the medical school (3 minute drive or 20 minute walk)
Cons- old buildings with thin walls, wifi is expensive, AC unit makes electric bill very high, can hear neighbors, they have been raising the pet rent every year

Affordable apartment living not too far from campus. Overall it's average, nothing stands out. There are nearby CATA lines and easy access to drive to campus if needed. Location is really far away from everything.

Berrytree Apartments is overall a great place to live. I have had zero issues with maintenance requests and staff are very friendly and attentive. Only downfall is that the apartments are a little bit outdated and it can be noisy sometimes(really depends on the building you are in). The location is prime for the medical school, about a 10 minute walk from campus.
