Amazing Location, Great Price, and Lots of Grad Students!
We have had a great experience here! There are a lot of grad students that live at Berrytree and it is one of the closest apartment complexes to the medical school buildings at MSU. They are also quite affordable compared to many other apartments in the area, especially if you share with a roommate! We also have a ton of storage space (three shared closets and each bedroom has two closets) and the bathroom area is split up (sink in one room and shower/toilet in another) which makes it perfect for roommates! There is a small workout room in the clubhouse but it does not have much equipment so I would not really call it a gym.

Berrytree Apartments Review
Overall a nice place to stay. Quiet and close to the medical school. Many medical and veterinary students live at Berrytree. Dog friendly with green space to walk. Only downside is it is an older apartment complex, laundry is community, and maintenance requests takes a little while to process.

Pretty Good Apartment
My partner and I live together in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment here at Berrytree. Compared to Ann Arbor where I was previously living, this is much more affordable with a good amount of amenities. The apartments aren't super new and they aren't super luxurious by any means. They are built kind of wonky and when we moved in it wasn't really clean, that being said, we are staying in the same apartment complex for next year. The location is great because they are so close to the medical school and it's nice because a few of our fellow medical students live at these apartments so we have a nice community. So, all in all, they are so-so apartments but the price was okay and the location is close to the medical school.

Peaceful place to work
I really enjoy living at BerryTree. While I'm not sure if it's different during non-COVID times, the community is quiet and respectful, and a peaceful place to work from home. The only drawback is that the 1br units don't have a washer/dryer and you'll need to use the laundry room downstairs.

Okay, Convient Flexible Location
The area is a little more removed from campus, but not too far of a drive to get to campus or the grand river avenue area. But a lot of people live north of grand river avenue so it'll take a 20-25 min drive north for most off campus social meetups.
The overall condition of the apartment is fair, it's one of the cheaper options I found and the amenities are good, but it's not a brand new complex. There are lots of newer places closer to grand river that provide new options.
I usually like renting from places that have external entrances to your unit, but a lot of the properties that still had openings when i was looking were primarily internal which can make them feel like a bit of a dorm setting at times.

Berrytree Apartment Review
It's a nice property in a good location. However, there is a train which goes by very closely and causes a lot of noise. Also walls are thin and you can easily hear neighbors.
