M1 Bloomington Campus - Excellent Walkable Apartment Option
My roommate and I are MS1's on the IUSM-Bloomington campus and Fountain Park Apartments has served as well as a place to study, live, and best - walk or bike to our building, the RAHC attached to the new hospital. There have been difficulties with parking this year for medical students so being a short 8-10 minute walk from our class building is invaluable. We take advantage of the pool and exercise facilities a lot. Our unit is a bargain, but does not have washer/drier inside. There are more expensive renovated unit options.

Great bang for the buck

Fountain Park 2bd 2ba
Fountain Park is a good apartment for students with a car who want to drive to school. Parking is free with lots outside your front door, and the apartments are about a 10 minute drive from Maurer. The area is quiet and feels fairly separate from Maurer, which makes it a nice homey space away from school life. The 2bd/2ba apartments are currently being renovated and they all should mostly have new appliances, fixtures, counters, and toilets by August 2021. You do have to pay for both Internet (including renting a router) and electricity here, which can get expensive. There is also in-unit laundry, which I love.
