Grand Island Apartment Homes

So far I have enjoyed the apartment and have no complaints. It is close to the interstate so you can hear trucks and cars passing.

It's nice but definitely feels expensive for what you get. I like the location on mud island though and feel very safe.

I really enjoy living here! It is very quiet and chill, and I love being on Mud Island! Only issues I run into are the pedestrian gates and guest call box not working. Other than that it has been really nice!

Spacious apartment in a great, safe location. Management and maintenance are relatively responsive and easy to work with. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to call home, with Harbor Town just down the road. Great for pet owners with mostly hardwood floors and the dog park within walking distance.

~10 minute drive to campus, free unreserved parking (behind a gate) with optional paid garage parking and being on Mud Island lets me feel safe and not worry about my car being broken into. Apartments are spacious and use decent materials for flooring and countertops. Gym is present and has most of the equipment one would need save for some back machines (no lat pulldown or cable row).

Grand island is very spacious and a great price for the value. I like living on mud island because I came from a more rural area so I like being able to go on walks/runs outside and see the sun set on the water.

Overall experience has been pretty good. It's very spacious and has a 24/7 small gym, small pool (this year it was open until the very end of September), nice lounge, and conference room. There's bike storage and garages but both of them cost extra so I just keep my bike in the closet for my balcony. There's ample storage in the walk-in closets and the bathroom. Thick walls/floors so we don't hear our neighbors (except if someone is stomping upstairs). Has in-unit washer and dryer and all the appliances have worked great. Gated parking (but its gone out of service a couple times and kind of took them a while to fix)
The negatives are that the kitchen storage is pretty small (like the drawers are super thin for some reason?). The highway can be kind of loud depending on how used to the sound you are, esp with trucks going over bumps. The parking lot is sort of bright, which is good for safety but you might need blackout curtains. It's pretty expensive compared to other 2 beds 2 baths but I think that was because my roommate & I signed the lease pretty close to moving in (~1 month before I think).

I have enjoyed my time at Grand Island so far. I would definitely recommend living on the island for safety and continence of location.

Great apartment but a little pricey.
