Good but expensive
This place is nice but is definitely on the pricier side of places in Memphis.

Harbor Island Apartments 1Bed/1Bath
I love the location of Mud Island and Harbor Island has been a good apartment complex option for this location. The views (the Mississippi River and Wolf River Harbor, the Bass Pro Pyramid, the downtown skyline) are very nice, even while I live on the first floor. Overall, I haven't felt unsafe living here and it's a pretty quiet place to live. I feel the rent is high for an apartment in Memphis, likely on the higher end of what they can charge, but living here has allowed me a certain peace of mind and a convenient commute so I been able to justify the cost.
Additionally, the apartments are right across the road from the Greenway and the Mud Island Dog Park, and the actual Mud Island Park is just a walk away. If there was more of a grocery store (Cordelia's Market is nice, but rather small and expensive) and maybe a few more basic shops, you probably would never have to leave Mud Island.

Meh
Would avoid getting 3rd floor apartment here, lots of open air space around apartment which jacks up electricity. This is made worse because the AC units are stored around floor 2.5, which makes the third floor much hotter than first two floors. Also specifically where I live (southmost tip), there's an extremely loud garbage truck that comes at 2-3 AM.

Review?
So far the apartment complex is nice. Just some little things with communication overall are my main problems. And setting up the WiFi was a little difficult. However, the apartment complex has a little study room/conference room, which I use at night to study at. It’s very convenient and close to school

Love the apartment
We love our apartment and the space. We pay more for rent but feel very safe and have nice amenities such as a pool, gym, and in apartment laundry.

Great apartments!
The maintenance is on top of any requests you may have. The apartment also has lots of space in the common area for a two bedroom. I love the location because it’s a short drive to school (you’re located right by the base of the AW Willis Bridge so as close as you can get on the Island!) and you’re close to plenty of biking/running paths.

Harbor Island Apartments
The location is great in addition to Mud Island being very safe. Parking is very easy here and is free. I would recommend sorting out MLGW utilities early on because it has been a hassle. The apartment staff is great here.

Annoyed with noise
The floor plan is spacious and I have no problems besides the fact that I live on the second floor and the AC units are right outside by bedroom wall. Unless it’s late fall/winter the condensers for you and your neighbors’ AC run very loud and can sometimes make it difficult to fall asleep. The fridge they provide can also be noisy. If you’re planning to rent here try to find the particular unit you would be renting and make sure to avoid this issue.

Harbor Island Apartments
Love this complex. Gated parking is nice. The apartment itself is big and one of the most updated on Mud Island. Maintenance is slow but the staff are all nice. Very quiet complex - I can't hear my neighbors.
