Very convenient location

The apartment has been extremely convenient for me. It is only a 5 minute walk from the law school and a 5 minute walk to barracks which has all the stores and restaurants you could need.

Solid choice, great location

Great location, maintenance is pretty quick, especially since they just hired another person. Clean, well-maintained generally. A bit dated, but still very nice. Only downside is the communal laundry room, but it's not a major inconvenience. Management is a bit scattered, but overall it's great.

Solid Apartments But New Property Owner

I lived in Jeffersonian under the previous owners and it was kept up better than it is now. However, it is still pretty good. Apartments are outdated but kept running well. The rooms are a good size and there is a large storage closet. The kitchen is a narrow galley kitchen, but it does the job and there is a lot of cabinet space. The bedroom closet is also large. I like living on the woods side because I don't have to deal with car lights or as much noise, though I don't get direct sun. I can sometimes hear my upstairs neighbor moving around, but never voices.

I believe rent will be increasing a lot for new leases as I think they are taking out the carpet and replacing it with wood floors. There have been some issues with getting landscaping and extermination (nature of living on the woods side) restarted, but it's on a regular schedule now. There's a laundry facility and parking is included. It's the closest apartment to the law school which is nice. When I first signed, it was definitely the best deal around the school, but not sure now if the rent is increasing. There is also a pool but it had some issues this year.
Safety is fine - just the typical issues that this area tends to get like stolen packages (though I heard this happening at Pav more). Not the fault of the management as much as people knowing that this area has a lot of students who are gone at certain times.
Given the options close the the law school, I would absolutely pick living here again.

Jeffersonian

Amazing location for the law school. No in-unit washer/dryer but the complex's laundry facility is nice, and the apartments are a little older but well-maintained. Free parking. There's new management this year, and they're still working out the kinks so it can be frustrating working with them to resolve issues but they do get around to it.

Jeffersonian Review

I've loved living in Jeffersonian. However, the ownership has recently changed so I'm not sure how relevant this will be going forward. You really can't get a better deal. The apartments are old, but well kept. In the three years I've lived here the rent was never raised (but it seems like the new management is raising the rent substantially.) The biggest cons are that the laundry room is pretty far away depending on where you live in the complex, but other than that no compliants really.

Jeffersonian Apts.

Jeffersonian is a great place to live. It is close to the law school, clean, and affordable. The apartments have plenty of space. New management is mostly responsive and are in the process of upgrading amenities. Highly recommend living here based on its proximity and value.

New Management

The Jeffersonian is usually one of the cheapest places to live near the law school. For over the last decade, it was also managed by a couple who did the maintenance work and management work together. They were incredibly responsive and willing to help all of their residents. They were also committed to keeping the prices low and worked with students to find the right apartment for you (ex: if you wanted to live alone, but there were no one bedrooms left they would discuss the price for other options with you and try to figure out a way for you to live alone at a reasonable price).

However, the apartment complex has recently been bought out by "Red Tail Residential." The entire complex has experienced maintenance issues. Multiple students have had to deal with flooding. One had water coming out of their ceiling lights that the fire department called a fire hazard. The laundry room didn't have laundry machines in them for over a month. Then, it had two. Those two promptly broke down and the laundry room flooded – making it unusable. Management does not seem that concerned.

There were also recently problems with cars in the parking lot being broken into.

Excellent Location, Expect Rennovations

I originally moved in before the building was sold to Red Tail. The unit itself is very standard, and the low rent plus excellent location made it highly attractive. I expect rent to continue to rise under new management (although renewal was not as bad as expected), and predict that units will be renovated as more new tenants come into the building. All in all, it's a very standard apartment experience in a great geographic location to the Law School, so probably worth the cost if it remains competitive or low.

Jeffersonian 1 bedroom (2022)

Great setup for a single student. Plenty of space, very close to the Law School and Barracks, laundry in the complex, fairly nice and clean, and relatively affordable (especially compared to, e.g., the Pavilion). The ownership and management changed while I've lived here, and although the transition was somewhat bumpy, most of the issues seem to have taken place over the summer, and they were mostly resolved by the time school started again. New management seems friendly and responsive. Can't yet speak to how they handle individual apartments' maintenance issues.
