Cottages on Tazewell

I've really enjoyed my experience here. It is very safe and in a good location.

I have lived at this complex since July 2020, and plan to stay here after graduation. It is an 18-minute drive to UTMed and 15-minute drive to the downtown area. This is a very safe community and I have never felt uneasy walking my pet at night. My rent includes high speed cable and internet, flat rate water which is dependent on unit size, a garage that is and additional $125/month, and a monthly pet rent of $40. This is a two-bedroom two-bathroom apartment with and additional loft space which I use for an office/study space. There is a dog park as part of the complex, and several city parks close by that are wonderful for walking.

Great management and amenities. But slightly far from campus

I really like this apartment complex and all it has to offer. It is 18 minutes for UTMed and is 15 minutes from downtown. It allows me to be close to campus without all of the cost increases associated with being downtown. The complex is not gated, but it has never caused me to feel unsafe in this area. There are several parks near by for walking and exercising, which is great for me since I have a dog. My particular apartment layout has a loft space that can serve as a third bedroom since it is the size of the master. My roommate and I use this space for our desks to separate our learning environment from our bedrooms.

These apartments are a little pricey. The two bedroom would be more affordable if you have a roommate. However, we have a washer and dryer inside our apartment which is so convenient. Also, the apartments are so nice and the management is amazing. Everything is taken care of and you can relax when you come home. No loud noises or distractions and there is an awesome salt water pool, fire pit, and gym.

I love it here! I rent a 900 square feet 1br/1ba apartment, and it's wonderful. The location is just far enough from downtown to provide some breathing room and separation from campus, while also remaining close enough so as to be convenient. Even the smallest units are pretty spacious, and the amenities provided by the complex are great. The people that work in the office are all wonderful and very easy to talk to and work with.

Good Location - Developing Complex
