Ownership shuffle
We originally moved into the property in September 2019. It is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath, split-level apartment with a renovated attic that holds the kitchen and shared living room. The features of the apartment are pretty dated and it does have wall-to-wall carpeting, but the apartment has a lot of light and a private balcony on the 3rd bedroom. When we moved in, the building was owned by Constellar Corporation. They were slow to follow through on repairs. They also sold the building with no notice to the tenants. The building is now owned by Apex Realty Group. They are somewhat responsive to repair requests. After retaining ownership they gave us mixed answers about their intentions with the property, but eventually told us that they plan to renovate and raise the rent on the property. Overall, after searching for an apartment for months, it is frustrating to have to deal with multiple unresponsive landlords that have little regard for the tenants living in the property.
