Solid apartment, but overpriced

I have a 1200 sqft 1 bed/1 bath, and overall, it's lovely. The natural light is fantastic, and my cat enjoys all the space she has. The layout of the apartment is nice, and it's pretty quiet. It's a very old building with radiator heat, so it gets very toasty in the cold months and there is no way to control the temperature for your individual unit. It gets super hot in the summer due to the all the windows/natural light, but fans and a window AC unit help. The kitchen is adequate, though a little outdated. There is plenty of storage, and though I've had maintenance issues (leaky shower, bathroom sink leaking), maintenance is responsive and efficient. There are no amenities that you'd find in a more modern apartment building (i.e. pool, gym, in-unit laundry), but there's a laundry room in the basement (though it's super expensive: $2.50/wash, $2.25/dry).

Great one-bedrooms

The one-bedrooms are enormous and its a very charming building. The staff and maintenance folks are also so nice and so on top of it. I've never had an issue that hasn't been fixed within a day

OKE

OKE is pretty great— big apartment and great location. Only downside is no shared wash/dryer for both buildings and no central AC. Otherwise I’m happy with my apartment!

Super spacious apartment

The building is really old, but the apartments are huge and the staff are so friendly and helpful and work in the building. The apartments do vary a lot, but if you get lucky you can get an amazing place for what you’re paying for. Definitely on the more expensive side for Pittsburgh though

Great location, reasonable price

The building staff have been very responsive to repair inquiries. The building is quiet, and a really easy walk to campus (as well as being optimally located between Walnut St. and Presby). The apartments are reasonable in size.
