Great apartment with good amenities and responsive management. An amazing apartment for the cost.

Excellent location for students

Rutledge Hall is just a few minute walk from popular bars/restaurants/shops in Shadyside and East Liberty, very close to Walnut St, grocery shops, and there are several bus stops located right outside the apartment. It is about 25-30 min walk from Scaife, so on nicer days it’s nice to walk to or from school. Maintenance is very responsive and I have had 0 issues living in Rutledge Hall so far. This is a pretty quiet apartment with many students, both undergrad and graduate students (including med students).

Spent three years of medical school here and would do it again.

Spacious location that is conveniently located near the 75/P3 to get to Oakland and the 64 to get to Children's, all within a very short walk. Reasonable rent, with lots of storage, including a basement storage locker for bikes/larger items. Some of the apartments also include parking but street parking is pretty easy to find nearby as well. Can get slightly noisy at night time on weekends, though I was able to study here for Step1 dedicated without issues.

Definitely live here as a medical student

I have virtually no complaints. Neighbors are always quiet and respectful, and apartment is very comfortable. I've had a small leak in our ceiling because we're on the top floor, but they fix it and it's only a problem ~1x per year

All around excellent

Rutledge Hall is in a prime location: close to grocery stores, multiple bus stops, and Walnut St. Maintenance is always available and responds quickly, as does the landlord. Walls are thick and it's pretty quiet. The building has some other students, including undergrad and graduate. I have a lot of natural light and space in my apartment. It is also located in a fairly safe area as well- I have never had a safety concern as a woman. I live alone, but a lot of my classmates live right by me in other buildings.

Great apartments, great location!

Have truly loved living at this apartment! Our specific unit is owned by an individual who is really responsive to any concerns that we have. My favorite parts of the apartment include great sunlight (7 large windows in the living room and kitchen area), newer appliances in kitchen, lots of storage space in kitchen, and 1 master bedroom with bathroom in room + 2 smaller bedrooms that share bathroom in hallway. In terms of utilities, we essentially only pay for electricity, but it is worth noting that the stove is electric. Xfinity is the only internet service provider in the area. In unit washer and dryer.

2 bedroom Shadyside apt

Convenient location near Market District and bus stops. 2 min walk to bus stop for Oakland. Responsive realty company that quickly fixes any problems. Quiet apartment building with mostly graduate students or young professionals. Laundry within building or available within unit.

yay

I have enjoyed living at Ruteledge Hall. Shadyside can be very pricy, and the apartment is reasonable for what you get. It is not the most updated or stylish space, but it has been well-maintained. We have a dishwasher and central air, as well as a spacious living room and lots of natural sunlight. We are close to many bus stops and to the busway, so it is easy to get around. It is an easy walk to a variety of grocery stores, as well as the restaurant and bar hubs of Walnut St and South Highland Ave.
