Nice location and value, but some serious shortcomings

This apartment is a short walk from the Wharf and two metro stops (L’Enfant and Waterfront). From my own search and talking with other residents, it’s also among the better values for the space you get. We also have had a good experience with our pets here, and many residents are friendly.

BUT the front desk, who handle most packages, can be very unresponsive or unhelpful, depending on who is there. My building (building A) also struggles to be ADA compliant, because for the majority of the six months we’ve lived here only one of the two elevators has worked at any given time and there have been days when neither worked for hours.

If you're looking for comfort, but not luxury

Waterside Towers has been my home for over 6 years. The management has always been friendly, and most people living there have been there for 5+ years. It's truly a community. The beauty of living in a complex like Waterside Towers is that you feel like you're living in a neighborhood, even though you are walking distance from downtown (if you're looking for a couple mile walk). Or you could jump on the bus--three stops in front of the complex, or walk to the metro--there are two stations in easy walking distance. My husband and I have no intentions of leaving. Ever. It's just too perfect for us.

Solid location, well-designed studios

Pricey, but the studios are some of the nicest I've lived in, with clear delineation between living and sleeping space.

Moreover, the location is excellent - I'm quite close to more or less everything in DC, convenient to bikeshare, metro, and bus.
