Good, Quiet Place to Live

I have lived at Deer Valley for 2.5 years now, and I have enjoyed it. It's quiet, surrounded by woods, and in a great location. The only downsides are: on the ground floor there are some issues with bugs, and it does take a while for maintenance to resolve issues. However, management is very kind and easy to work with!

Review

I think it's been a great time. The apartment area is very nice and relaxing. Parking is easy. The only complaint is the maintenance takes a second to get doing some things.

Overall good, a few things to note

Deer Valley is well managed, quiet, and has very nice living spaces! Theres a lot of bugs especially if you live backing the woods, but that isn’t anyone’s fault. You definitely need a car because there’s no shuttle to campus and it’s 10+ minutes away. Because it is a 22+ community there’s residents of all ages. I’ve had a couple maintenance issues but they were solved quickly and the staff has been above and beyond helpful. One thing to note is that while laundry is not included, they will rent you a washer/dryer for $40/month. Additionally utilities are not included so if you’re paying for that and laundry your rent is pretty quickly more like 1.2k for a 1br/1bath. The gym is also pretty crappy, but there’s a planet fitness pretty close and the pool here is great!

Great Value and Great Quality

This is not the most luxurious apartment available in Columbia, but it is incredibly nice for the cost. The community is rumored to be no undergrads allowed, which makes it very quiet most of the time. I will have stayed here for all 3 years of law school and bar studying and have no regrets about that decision. Maintenance issues have been minimal, and management has been responsive and fixed them when needed. I believe this complex fills up fast, so you'll want to look at signing a lease as early as March to begin in July/August based on their advertising.

Deer Valley is Very Good

No complaints overall about Deer Valley. Affordable and fairly close to campus, but wish it was able to walk to campus. Also there are so many other law students that live at this complex.

Great for the price

I have lived there for almost three years now. It is a nice apartment for its pricing. The management company has been helpful with the very few issues I have had over the last three years.

Amazing All Around

The people managing this apartment complex care about the people living there. They tell you they want you to feel at home and certainly succeed as they are easy to reach out to.

When my air conditioning went out, I received service within a day and had the issue fixed before the evening was over.

The people living in the complex are friendly and usually graduate/professional students at Mizzou. It's quiet on the weekends (aside from the occasional person coming up the stairs around midnight) and is a great environment to study if you want to get out of the library.
