The Gateway at Belknap

Fine apartment. Doesn't really have a real gym and expensive utility bills from consumer energy but no other outstanding complaints.

Apartment itself is good. Utilities are not included which is a downside. Gym room is not the best (not much and doesn’t have any windows).

Short distance from school.

Trowbridge flats has been a good apartment. This is my first time living in Grand Rapids and I’ve felt nothing but welcomed here. The apartment is walking distance from Secchia center and I have always been able to find parking around the building. The manager is responsive and maintenance is quick. Perfect location and good housing overall.

But the actual apartments are not, given the price. Not terrible, but don't love it for how much I pay.

A nice place to live, and super close to Secchia. Maintenance is great - super responsive, timely, and helpful. However, there seems to be a high turnover in management and they aren't very organized. Not a lot of amenities and sometimes UPS can't deliver packages as scheduled. Overall though, I stayed here for both years in GR and would still return.

very reliable and parking is located right under the apartment. Leasing office always answers quickly. Internet is provided but is sometimes not great/quick but usually e create too much of a problem

The management is not the best (doesn’t reply to emails/calls very often, not very helpful). However…the rent being so cheap and the unit being nice definitely outweigh the downsides. Maintenance has been responsive and fast (most of the time). Street parking is $40/year and I’ve never had an issue finding a spot. Overall, I do really love our unit and everything I relatively new!

The apartments themselves are very nice. They are spacious and have modern appliances and features. Internet is included and so is water and gas. The gym is ok but not great. There are several options for parking that will accommodate any budget. My two biggest issues are package delivery and the location. The apartment complex is confusing and delivery drivers do not have good access points to the building so packages frequently get misdelivered. The neighborhood also has a lot of crime although I have never had an issue at the apartment itself. They also have nighttime security.

Great place to live, but somewhat dangerous neighborhood with terrible and unresponsive management.
