Great Place to live
As an older graduate student, I really did not see myself living in the dorms with other students who were considerably younger than me. I wanted to find an apartment which was close to campus and downtown. I found the Elysian online while doing an online search. What drew me to the apartment was the kitchen and full-sized washer and dryer.
There are actually three complexes covering a three block area. I stay in Elysian II and Elysian III is almost done with construction. Despite the construction the complex is quiet! It is also safe here. They are security cameras throughout the complex and at Elysian II you need a key fob to enter the building after hours and over the weekends. So no unexpected visitors! Unfortunately, if you are having anything delivered after hours you actually have to go downstairs to get it from the delivery person. Or if you have guests over you have to physically let them in the building. This is the main reason why my rating is an 8 out of 10.
There is parking. Each building has a gym. I'm not sure about the new building because it's still under construction but I'm pretty positive it will have one. There is laundry in unit and trash drops on each floor. There is a rooftop seating area and lounge area on each floor, good for group studying if you don't want to stay in you apartment. The property management and staff are great and eat to talk to.
Overall, I'm happy with my choice in apartments.
