Excellent location and great value for money
Galatyn Station is a relatively new property located right next to 75 in north Richardson about 20 minutes from SMU. This is a nice quite area with a few other apartment complexes close by as well as hotels and office buildings.
Pros:
1. Location
2. The management is responsive and I have never had to wait too long to get things done. There are no hidden excessive charges that some other apartment complexes have.
3. The building condition is good and the walls & windows insulate outside sounds really well.
4. The apartments are spacious I have never had a bug problem which I hear is a common issue in older apartments especially cheaper ones close to SMU.
5. I got a very good deal with this apartment because they gave me the first month rent free as part of a promotion which brought this apartment's rent within my budget. Prospective renters should look for such deals because then out of budget places can also become within budget.
Cons:
1. The only issue I personally have is that there is not enough natural light in the apartment. This is a design feature of the apartment and the building. Turning all the lights on compensates for that but it is still no sibstitute for natural lighting.
