Review of 2291 Stone
I remained in this unit for 3 years. It is townhome style with stairs, 2 bedrooms, a study, 1 bath and a basement with washer/dryer. It started to grow on me since enrolling as a master student at Taubman in 2017. Very convenient access to UM bus services which get me to class at Taubman and SPH very quickly. The neighborhood is also very quiet and safe, since there are people all around you. I have even knocked on neighbor's doors to for eggs and flour and both were very much willing to provide extra. Facilities crew works fast and it is easy to make an order request to get something fixed or checked out. Very affordable rent (probably the best in all of AA) for the size of the home AND in-house washer/dryer. It is truly a great housing option.

Northwoods V
Best graduate student housing neighborhood, lots of families and a frequent bus route to north and main campus.

An extra bathroom would have been perfect, the rooms are too small too
The catch is that Northwood is close to Taubman, but it is really quiet - if you want to socialize where you live, you should probably try central campus options. The rent is a flat rate; so you don't have to worry about utilities. Northwood II specifically has small rooms and only one bathroom for two roomies to share.

Northwood V
Northwood V is cheap - heat, electricity, laundry and internet are all included in the rent. That said, the apartments are dark and (in my case) pretty grimy. Bedrooms are pretty small. The bus system is fine.

A place to sleep
Relatively cheap place far from Ross (by choice). Quiet neighborhood and beautiful landscape. Old buildings with regular maintenance issues. Super quick response to fix issues.

Cheap & Convenient for Families
Quiet, safe for kids to run around, bus very convenient, parking inexpensive. Apartment is small, kitchen tiny, but washer and dryer in-unit and everything is well-maintained.

Great for families on a budget
Can't go wrong for a family that needs space on a low budget. Places are a little older and its further away from school than I would like, but for the price it is just fine. The people are friendly, the maintenance is prompt, and if I was coming back for a third year I would live here again.

Relatively cheap and secluded but with noticeable issues
This university housing is about 10-minute drive from Ross (about 30-minute bus ride). The apartment came with basic furniture. It is an okay place, but maintenance is an ongoing issue. Management is responsive, but the place is old, and things keep braking.
