Our apartment has many upsides to it - it's recently renovated (renovations were completed in 2022) so all the appliances are stainless steel, walls have been newly painted and the layout is modern. The air conditioning and heat both work very well and the management is extremely responsive (usually responds within a few hours whenever I've had an issue). There's also in-unit washer/dryer which is awesome! However, the storage isn't great and the A/C gets VERY loud. Also, my roommate and I live on the top floor so we get plenty of sunlight but units on lower floors do not get much light from what I've seen. There is a rooftop but there's no furniture so it's literally just a rooftop. Great views but unless you have your own chair there's not much to do up there. In terms of safety, our apartment is a 10 minute walk to the UCity campus but it's not in the safest part of West Philly which might be a deterrent for some students.
