Terrible experience here..

Moved into the apartment mid-July 2025, a month or so after the building fully opened to residents. During Labor Day weekend, the battery of the lock on the front door died; we called leasing (undergrad college students) and they didn't do anything for almost 2 weeks. I had to go in person to find the manager (who had just started that day) and it took almost another week to get our front door lock fixed. The pros of this place is that it came furnished and the rooms are spacious, each with bathroom. We also have an in unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. The trash chute to this day does not work on our floor. Parking garage can be a disaster if someone decides to park in your spot. Honestly would not recommend this place for graduate students; the undergraduates + frats/sororities do their events in the courtyard so you get stuck having to listen to blaring music. Not very soundproof, I can hear the guy upstairs playing video games from my room so it's hard to study. Gym is small and gets trashed quickly, with no one to pick up stuff or clean up.

Marshall St. louis

The apartments are new so everything is well-functioning and the maintenance is quick to respond. It is convenient to have a pool, gym, and valet trash system. Also, if you buy parking ($85 currently), you get a reserved spot. Foundry and ikea are right next to it, and it is less than a 10 minute drive to south campus. However, the management is a little poor and can be disrespectful sometimes. Also, there is an additional charge for amenities and valet trash (less than $20 per month). Lastly, it can be a little loud over the weekends as a lot of undergraduate student live here but I’ve never had any problems with that.

The Marshall

Apartment comes fully furnished with a flat screen-TV, fiber-optic WiFi set-up, washer and dryer, and also a queen size bed included. Parking is $100/month but is covered and reserved. Honestly, worth it if you have an electric vehicle as their garage has chargers you can use for free! Awesome value for the rent and super close to Fresh Thyme grocery and the Foundry so there is a ton to do just a walk away. Biggest cons are that the management is relatively new and can be disorganized, noise levels are high, and lack of cupboard space which can be an issue if you cook frequently (I share a 2-story unit between 5 people). Make sure to sign up for parking early if you are bringing a car as there was a shortage of spots available for residents who signed later and street parking around the Marshall is on a busy road/generally not recommended. Another con is that driving out of the garage can feel a bit unsafe as there is an obstructed view due to all the cars parked on the side of the street. Hard to beat for the value though and only 7-ish minutes away from the school, but likely would not live here again.

The Marshall

It’s very convenient for medical students, especially because it comes fully furnished. Everything you could need is basically there. The only downside is that management can be hard to work with and that the units were not built for longevity; lots of things get broken easily.
