Location is Everything
This apartment is good primarily for its location: right next to the metro and walking distance to campus. I rent from someone who owns the condo. The building has an HOA. My unit has been renovated nicely, but the building itself is quite old and run down. I don’t have in unit washer/dryer, and the common laundry room only takes quarters (and requires a lot of them). It only comes with one parking spot in the garage, so one of us has to find a visitor spot every time. It’s a nice community, and the management is pretty good, but there’s been a fire alarm going off in error and the part to fix it is on back order. Things like that are an issue because of how old the building is. The gym is not very nice. If you’re receiving a delivery you have to answer your phone to buzz the guy in most times which is inconvenient. My unit is very big and nice though, but that will vary across units.
