MAA Charlotte
I have lived at MAA Charlotte since moving to Nashville back in 2022. I enjoy the property, amenities (including free parking), and the location.

Excellent building a bit far from class and midtown
This building has excellent amenities and modern apartments with a good rent price and no hidden fees like parking or community fees. The management is quick to respond to complaints or work orders and is constantly hosting resident events and making improvements to the living experience. My only complaint is that it is a bit further from hot spots like the midtown bars and the med school than other buildings.

MAA Charlotte
I enjoy my apartment complex for the inclusion of all the amenities. We get parking, work lounge, pool, outside areas, dog parks, and more as part of our rent payment. You do pay electricity, water, and internet on top of monthly rent. I think they do a great job with fulfilling maintenance requests quickly which is an added plus. I will say the pricing ranges largely depending on when you are moving to this complex, so I would keep that in mind when looking to move to Nashville as a whole.

Affordable rent with great amenities
The maintenance team and personnel at the apartment are very attentive, timely, and helpful. The gym, pool area, free coffee, study areas, and courtyards are amazing spaces. They also have free parking, valet trash, and bike storage. While it is 1.2 miles from VUMC, it is a safe walk or bike ride.

Love it
It’s close to campus (5 min drive there, ~7min back), has great amenities (valet trash, parking garage with gate, pool with tons of seating, full gym, indoor and outdoor arcade, pet spa, dog park, etc.).

MAA Charlotte Ave. Review
Great Apartment Complex

I really like it!
I really like MAA Charlotte. It is about 1.25 miles (pretty much a straight shot) or a ~25 minute walk to the med center. Every time we've has a problem with A/C or anything else, the staff responds super quickly. I have been so pleasantly surprised! Very clean and feels very safe. My biggest gripe is that it's a little bit further from the med center than some other apartments, but it's still pretty close. Huge windows. Super nice bathrooms.

Ideal for first-year students
The MAA Charlotte is a very short commute (6-7 minute drive without traffic) to Vanderbilt making it ideal for someone who is new to the area. It has top-notch amenities (pool, free Starbucks machine, study/work area, a nice gym, and game area) and is well-managed. The only downside is that there are very few walkable restaurants/shops nearby; this isn't a huge downside given how much of a driving city Nashville is. There is also a train that runs by the apartment complex so it can be noisy at night, but it hasn't been a huge issue for me - you get used to it quickly.
