Nice and simple

StuyTown is pretty much the easiest way to get yourself into Manhattan. There are no broker's fees, the apartments are all pretty much the same (so you know what you're getting), and they renovate the apartments to update them before you move in. Also not a bad price for Manhattan... You will usually put up a wall to make a 2 bedroom a 3 bedroom, a 3 to a 4, etc.

Stuytown

Safe, all utilities included. Only downside is that it's not close to major train lines other than the L.

Convenient Complex

StuyTown is super well-managed with simple move-in procedures, responsive management and security teams, and good amenities. Unit was cleaned and painted when we moved in, and the move-in process was as painless as possible with the help of a dedicated move-in team. They require that you carpet the majority of the apartment, which limits noise from above units, though the walls can be thin if adjacent neighbors are making lots of noise. Location is extremely convenient - just a couple blocks from the L train, while the M15 bus and NYU shuttle pick up literally at the building's doorstep.

Great amenities with a few drawbacks

Has a lot of convenience - washer/dryer in every building, utilities included in rent, quiet and residential but steps from neighborhoods like East Village. Main drawback for me has been management that doesn't respond to non-emergency maintenance requests, and paper-thin walls.

Well Developed for Manhattan, No complaints

Everyone knows what Manhattan looks like from far isn't how when you actually live like a local. You find old apartments with rats, squeaky floors, old style bathrrooms. But thats not the case in stuytown. Though the crowd is old here, but thats what makes it peaceful.

Lovely Apartments in Stuy Town

The reality is NYC is the most difficult place in the world to find a apartment. And an apartment with value for money is next to impossible. But thank god for Stuyvesant town. They made our job so easy and saves so much of our time. We are paying for something that we never imagined we would find in this neighborhood.

Decent community

Great location with immediate access to public transport. M15 bus and 1st avenue metro station steps away from the community. Diverse neighborhood and tons of restaurant and nightlife options. Close proximity to NYU and SoHo for shopping. Overall, highly recommend this community.

Good location

I like the location. My favorite starbucks and chipotle and Duane reade, CVS pharmacy and papa johns are at a walking distance. Public transit, both bus and train L are at a walking distance. 4 and 5, the best train lines of NYC are at a walking distance too.

Perfect apartment for the price

Stuyvesant is a very safe community and has value for money if you go onto to rent during the winter months. The apartments are spacious with a lot of storage options. There are a lot of bars, restaurants and cafes nearby. It is steps away from the L train at 1st avenue and about a 10 minute walk to Union Square station.

Home sweet home

I love my home . I love the locality as it is pretty safe and there are patrolling cars all the time around the society. I would recommend this society to my friends and family as it provides the perfect enviroment for kids to grow up. It is situated in a very accessible area and all the modes of transport are seconds away from the apartment.

Midtown Reviews

I always feel safe and welcome. The people are very nice and talkative. The sights are truly remarkable and living in Midtown is an extraordinary experience, especially with the bar and restaurant scene, the entertainment scene, and so forth. Even Central Park is a wonderland to explore in itself and can be done freely. What's also a highlight about this location is the accessibility of places and people around you; everything is in walking distance, unless you're looking to venture to another area of New York City. You will never run out of places to explore and people to engage with, as people are always traveling to and from New York City - it is a melting pot of many cultures and ethnicities and one of the most diverse places in the world.
I LOVE living in Chelsea. It's close enough to the office so the commute isn't bad but there is so much good food and nightlife around you so you feel very connected socially.
Center of the Universe, between time square and central park.
For commute to school, the NYU shuttle is extremely convenient with travel time under 15mins.
Great bars and restaurants, and close to Central Park, but a distinct lack of affordable grocery options.
5 minute walk to Trader Joe's. Target in-building. Fairway 3 minute walk away. Several bars and restaurants nearby on Third Ave. 40 minute walk to Washington Square Park area. 10 minute walk to the closest subway (the 6), but there are bus lanes nearby. Incredibly close to two major hospitals (great during the COVID age, but lots of ambulance sirens).
See first thing I wrote. Kips bay/murray hill has a great bar and restaurant scene, very young. You don't really go out Friday/Saturday night here, not enough dancing type bars, but it's awesome for just about every other occasion. Central location for everywhere that you would go in any situation though.
Great food, bars, and people and very close to multiple modes of transport to easily get anywhere in the city. There are several bus stops right at your doorstep and a ferry about a two minute walk over on the Ave C side. Easy access to East River Walk for other activities and sports as well. Very easy to get to major hub at Union Square by foot or transport.
