Great Value for East Village

Other than having a rooftop, I have nothing bad to say about Stuy Town. It's amazing. Good space and an awesome neighborhood. Their management team is nice as well. Looking forward to my stay and enjoy the activities that they have. I highly recommend it.

Family friendly!

Stuy Town is great for families and young professionals. It's very quiet and safe, and pet-friendly. I've lived here for about 4 years and do not have any complaints. It's conveniently located near the L and many trendy NYC bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend!

StuyTown

A very well known experience for the young professional or NYU student looking to stay in Manhattan in a reasonably sized apartment for a reasonable price. What comes with convenience is sacrificed character...the entire complex is bland and boring. But hey, you're just a walk away from where you need to be.

Great location and amenities.

Even at the edge of Stuytown, my apartment is only slightly over a 5 minute walk to the L train on 14th St. and 1st Ave. It's within a 25 min walking distance to NYU, but the free shuttle makes stops all along Stuytown as well. There's 24 hour security on the premise, basketball courts, gym, and yoga studio to name a few amenities. Management even erects a tent over one of the basketball courts and builds an ice skating rink during the winter. Great place overall.

Peter Cooper Village

Our apartment, a 2 bedroom flex, in Peter Cooper village is massive and modern. All new stainless kitchen with a built in wine cooler. Big windows. Overall incredible galue compared to everything else we looked at. I ride my bike to stern (there are bike lockers in the basement), which takes about 10 minutes on roads with separated bike lanes in both directions.

Stuytown

Stuytown is a (relatively) peaceful oasis in NYC. Fantastic location for young people as it's walking distance to the East Village and Lower East Side social scenes. Management is the best I've ever experienced, fix problems extremely quickly. Renting from the leasing office makes landing an apartment about as easy as it gets in NYC.

Stuyvesant Town

Make sure that you find a stuyvesant town building either close to 14th ST or on the first ave. It will be super easy to get to NYU bus and many NYU students live there.

Good Value

Relatively cheap on a per-person basis, big rooms, all utilities included, and only a 20-minute walk from Stern if you're in the Southwest corner. Good food and shopping around the area too.

Midtown Reviews

I always feel safe and welcome. The people are very nice and talkative. The sights are truly remarkable and living in Midtown is an extraordinary experience, especially with the bar and restaurant scene, the entertainment scene, and so forth. Even Central Park is a wonderland to explore in itself and can be done freely. What's also a highlight about this location is the accessibility of places and people around you; everything is in walking distance, unless you're looking to venture to another area of New York City. You will never run out of places to explore and people to engage with, as people are always traveling to and from New York City - it is a melting pot of many cultures and ethnicities and one of the most diverse places in the world.
I LOVE living in Chelsea. It's close enough to the office so the commute isn't bad but there is so much good food and nightlife around you so you feel very connected socially.
Center of the Universe, between time square and central park.
For commute to school, the NYU shuttle is extremely convenient with travel time under 15mins.
Great bars and restaurants, and close to Central Park, but a distinct lack of affordable grocery options.
5 minute walk to Trader Joe's. Target in-building. Fairway 3 minute walk away. Several bars and restaurants nearby on Third Ave. 40 minute walk to Washington Square Park area. 10 minute walk to the closest subway (the 6), but there are bus lanes nearby. Incredibly close to two major hospitals (great during the COVID age, but lots of ambulance sirens).
See first thing I wrote. Kips bay/murray hill has a great bar and restaurant scene, very young. You don't really go out Friday/Saturday night here, not enough dancing type bars, but it's awesome for just about every other occasion. Central location for everywhere that you would go in any situation though.
Great food, bars, and people and very close to multiple modes of transport to easily get anywhere in the city. There are several bus stops right at your doorstep and a ferry about a two minute walk over on the Ave C side. Easy access to East River Walk for other activities and sports as well. Very easy to get to major hub at Union Square by foot or transport.
