TERRIBLEEEE

Extremely disappointed with the management - actually TERRIBLE! They blatantly misrepresented the room sizes – the actual rooms are 2 feet smaller than they claimed on the layouts. The leasing agents were unhelpful and lacked empathy in addressing this concern. The ongoing construction on all balconies, during the only two usable months of the year, has been incredibly noisy and disruptive. Our balcony has been inaccessible since early June. The only positive aspect is the amazing package room staff. Overall, this building has been a terrible experience. I strongly advise against living here!

Pricey but Good Quality

Generously-sized kitchen, many windows, in-unit AC in the living area and bedroom. The place could use some updating, and the windows do not open very wide, so they are hard to clean from the outside. The management is responsive and organizes social events for the buildings. There is outdoor space that belongs to the building which is great for socializing, but you cannot have your dog off leash there.

Love the place

I love the place, the floor was renovated, brand new utilities, gym, yoga classes, service center to receive all deliveries.
The only problem is that is not as close to NYU Stern as I wanted (~30 min walk), but is a great place, near a Trader Joe's, Fairway market, lots of restaurants, 3 blocks from subway

Kips Bay

Love it here! the management is great at responding and the location is amazing - close to the action without having to bring the action home. Quiet, clean and affordable to share. Very close to the bars and the 7 train which can take you anywhere.

Location is so so

Far away from subway and pretty quite at night. Closet is pretty small but there is dry cleaning in the building which makes convenient. There is no doorman cut security guard but don't expect they being helpful. They are mostly angry all the time if you ever ask any question.

Gramercy Park Reviews

5 minute walk to Trader Joe's. Target in-building. Fairway 3 minute walk away. Several bars and restaurants nearby on Third Ave. 40 minute walk to Washington Square Park area. 10 minute walk to the closest subway (the 6), but there are bus lanes nearby. Incredibly close to two major hospitals (great during the COVID age, but lots of ambulance sirens).
Gramercy is awesome, lots of great restaurants and date spots. Easy to get EV for later in the night, or lower east via 4/5/6.
Many restaurants and groceries. Quiet and safe area.
See first thing I wrote. Kips bay/murray hill has a great bar and restaurant scene, very young. You don't really go out Friday/Saturday night here, not enough dancing type bars, but it's awesome for just about every other occasion. Central location for everywhere that you would go in any situation though.
East village is great because it is close to school with a great restaurant and bar scene. The only down side is that there are a few hospitals in the area, which means that there are a few more homeless people around than some other areas, especially during the summer, since they are often picked up and then discharged. It doesn't feel unsafe because of the homeless people, but it isn't the most pleasant part of the neighborhood.
Good neighborhood for living: Trader Joe's, Fairway, movie theater all within walking distance. Also close to NYU Langone hospital which is good for two reasons: can get to the hospital quickly if you're sick and it's right by the E line shuttle that NYU runs. Get to class in about 15 minutes without having to pay anything more.
PRO:
Safe area (next door to the Police Academy)
Pretty quiet neighborhood (3rd ave is not too noisy)
Close to actual Gramercy Park
1mi from campus
Many restaurants/bars close by, but not noisy on a Fri/Sat night

CONS
No do-it-yourself laundry nearby (wash and fold options close)
No actual access to Gramercy Park
Closest "large" grocery stores at Union Square (Trader Joes, Whole Foods)-not a problem per se, but expect them to be very crowded most of the time
The neighborhood is friendly and busy. The building is located between 5th Ave and Madison Ave so it's busy outside, but not too noisy throughout the night. There are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby and it is very conveniently located around multiple subway stops.
