Munger Graduate Residences reviews and highlights
- best in-house amenities
- most bedrooms don't have windows
- brand new building with fully upgraded appliances
- everyone gets their own bathroom
- spacious living area
- best place to live in terms of value
- centrally located
Best Value
Low Monthly rental payment for lots of amenities including the theater, study rooms, massage chairs and outdoor track and gym on the roof. Only downside is that the rooms do not have windows, but the common area has plenty of windows. Location is also great and close to Ross, Main St, and MBA apartment buildings.

Sun lights needed
If only all the rooms had windows, this residence would have been a really attractive place to live.

Great location and community - current management can be better
Location is great, right by downtown Ann Arbor and very close to Ross. The graduate student community is great and the overall Munger building is wonderful with all the rooms and amenities. There are fun events that are going on in the building including board game nights and such. However, management is really not that great. On a day-to-day basis, you don't interact with them so it's not a problem. But sometimes things happen in the community and usually its because management has a power trip going on. For example, management wouldn't allow groups of students to reserve some of the open public spaces for get togethers. Or management questioned some of the hosted board game nights.

Great
It was great up until the covid started, staying in an apartment with no windows and no access to other facilities within the building isn't worth it. Well, hopefully you won't live through a pandemic in Munger so this might not apply to you.

Munger Apartments
Great place, new apartments, new appliances. Includes gym, all utilities, cable, internet. Very convenient and close to Ross. Drawbacks are: random roomates, 6-7 people in one apartment, windowless rooms.

Good Value
Great value. Good community. No complaints. You will get used to lack of windows.

Great building but lack social aspect
Great infrastructure and best location on campus. However, living with people outside the MBA program and building rules prevent social events.

Munger Review
Munger is a great place to meet people from other schools while living in a spacious apartment. It also provides ample amount of space for studying and meeting rooms. The apartment is great for social activities which include a games room and a mini theater. The only downside to living at Munger is the lack of windows in most rooms.

Great grad housing facility
Munger started out as a transdisciplinary housing initiative, but over last year, it has become just another grad dorm. You will live in apartments with 5 or 6 other room-mates, and the living situation will be what you make it to be.
The common areas are spacious, bright, and well appointed, but the bedroom is just about the right size. However, the deal-breaker for many is the lack of windows in the bedrooms (in about 80% of the bedrooms). If that is a concern, stay away.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay here - it is centrally located and near everything that I could possibly want. The large common areas in the basement and 8th floor are a boon for exam prep and assignments. The gym on the 8th floor also has an outdoor running track.
