Great Location!

This place is a solid deal for the location. It's a 5 minute walk to Ross and only about 15 min to downtown. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Apartment is moderately updated but nothing fancy. Management is very responsive on maintenance requests. Service is usually performed same day. We even got a new oven within one day after ours stopped working. Rent also includes one free parking space, which is rare for Ann Arbor.

Decent, but older

The building is less than 5 minutes from Ross and about 10-15 from downtown. The apartment is a good size but the kitchen is very small and the building is on the older side.

Affordable, basic, close to business school

Pros: In comparison with other properties it's affordable (comes to about $813 per person in 2016-17 year plus additional $50-100 for internet and electricity). It's extremely close to the business school (only a 5 minute walk) which is great for winter. Furnished and building is in decent condition.
Cons: Can be quite loud on weekends and evenings since there are undergrads and frat houses surrounding. Only two washers and dryers for the entire building and they are frequently broken. Hallway often smells like pot and there seems to be no insulation so the units get quite cold in the winter unless you are willing to pay to blast the heat.
Overall: Good for students who are budget-conscious and want to be near law school/business school, and are willing to put up with noise and some inconvenience.

Great Location, rundown building, responsive maintenance

Oxford manages several properties but doesn't have adequate manpower in their office. Getting anything administrative done takes a long time and several follow-up calls. However, the location to Ross is very good, even though the inside of the building is quite run down. I live in a 4 bdrm/2 bath with roommates. Two people share one bathroom. The kitchen is small, and the fridge is definitely too small. They could have placed a larger one in the space. There is no A/C on the first floor (which is a problem in the months of Aug-Sept (maybe Oct) but there are individual units upstairs in the 3 bedrooms. There is heat throughout, but it's electric. It comes with 1 parking spot, so 1 roommate pays more for a slightly larger room and parking spot. We have had several maintenance issues, but that staff is very responsive.

Functional and competent

It's close to school, not in a converted 1920's family home, and way more affordable than the brand new buildings. The landlord is usually good but occasionally hit or miss. Laundry could use some work. Big, comfy and quiet, at least by New York standards.

Good location, bad quality

The building is quite old, and noisy because it's close to the main road and some undergraduate students have noisy parties on Thursday and weekends. There are only two washers and driers for all the residents. But otherwise it is a good choice, especially close to Ross.

Close Apartment to Ross

Old building that often smells but after your first 4 1/2 minute walk to Ross, you'll be happy you live so close. Oxford is fine to deal with but the maintenance staff is amazing and fixes issues quickly. This is not a bad place for the price, location and ease.

Best part is that it's close to Ross and not far from downtown. It can be noisy however on weekends and game days with surrounding undergrad parties (although that died down really quickly once it got cold)!
super close to school. on campus and really convenient for someone like me who doesn't have a car (side note: there is a garage here and parking on the street is always available).
It's not that bad. There are a lot of undergraduates in this area, there are some law students, too. It is generally very loud during football season, specifically on Saturdays. There is a good amount of street parking and the food in the area is quick, cheap, and not that bad.
My location is a short walk to Ross, which is especially nice in the winter, and feels very safe. Cons are there are a lot of undergrads and it can get a little loud on weekends. It is also far from downtown Ann Arbor, where many restaurants and stores are.
It's filled with undergrads, but close enough to burns park that is more adult friendly. Walkable to S university bars and restaurants for social time! Less than 5 min walk to ross which is excellent.
There are fraternity and sorority houses nearby that can sometimes be loud on game days or on weekend nights. Convenience to Ross is amazing though.
Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Very safe. Lots of other students (undergrad and grad) around, so very student-like.
Close to Ross, zipcar locations, and packard street fast food/coffee. Small convenience store at the street corner
