Dexter Park Review
It's a good building. Like 15-20 minute walk to BU Law and 7 minute walk to Amory Station green line stop. A few other law students also live in the building, which is nice. There is a security guard downstairs in lobby 24/7 which is nice for safety and for them to buzz your guests in. Also, the building is right next to Amory Park and the dog park. Maintenance takes a few days to come fix stuff which is okay. There is also a staffed package room, laundry room, trash room, and small gym in the basement. Rent is pricey, but so is everything in Boston. Most apartments have balconies, and the building is nice but not very modern or updated. Rent includes your heat and water.

Rats are the real residents here
I gave this building 5 out of 10, and honestly, the only reason it’s not lower is because the location is close to the university. The biggest problem here is the rats, paying high rent while dealing with rodents is unacceptable.
If location is the only thing you care about, this place might work for you. But if you want a clean and comfortable environment, I strongly suggest finding another option.

unofficial BU housing
Lots of BU students live in this huge apartment complex. Great location, very secure, has a mail room for receiving deliver packages.

Dexter Park Brookline
Dexter Park is a great place to live! The front desk staff is great and the management keeps in contact with its residents; gives plenty of heads up time if they will be doing work/water shut-offs/laundry room repair/etc...Parking is available for an additional fee ($200-$250), they allow pets and it's a 5 min walk from the CTC / Greenline on Commonwealth. Some of the undergrad students can get pretty loud on the weekends but overall a great place to live and you get more room for your money!

Maintenance
The maintenance people always show up quickly, but they don’t do the best job. We had a rat in our apartment for weeks and maintenance was not that helpful.
