Quiet apartment complex perfect for graduate students
Very happy with my decision to rent at Nob Hill. It's about a 15-minute walk to downtown and the law school. There's a 5-minute walk to the stadium, Washtenaw Dairy, and around the corner from a convenience
store. The complex is quiet and avoids many of the drawbacks of student housing complexes. Parking is included, which is a huge plus for those who want a car in Ann Arbor. The management team is responsive and has been very friendly to work with.

Great place to live within walking distance of the law school
I've had a great experience at Nob Hill. The apartment is walking distance to the law school (15-20 minutes depending on pace), quiet, tidy, and the landlord is friendly and responsive to service requests. I'm very happy there and would highly recommend them. One heads-up: although the landlord is great, they do *not* provide reminders to pay rent or the water bill, and they will add late fees if you're late-- so set an alarm to remind yourself. Also, the first month's rent and the renter's insurance are due about a week before move-in, so make sure you set an alarm for that too! (One final note: the lady who handles the water bills writes emails that feel very abrupt -- sometimes ALL CAPS -- but in fact she's very nice.)

Great location, bang for buck
Nob hill is very well run and the one bedroom I'm in is a good size. It's a 15-20 minute walk from Ross and is pretty close to the Big House. Only downside is that the kitchen in my unit is very small.

Great place especially if you want to live alone
I've loved living here. The buildings are a bit older, but everything works and for the price I'm super satisfied. Reasonably close to Ross, right around the corner from 618 and the Yard, and far enough from the train tracks that it's never too noisy. Management has been very responsive to any small issues that have cropped up.

Good for the price
This is a good place if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive one-bedroom. Apartment is dated, but clean and the management is responsive to fix any issues that arise. Location is decent, but a somewhat long walk to downtown. Kitchen is quite small and not the most functional, but it is manageable. This is a good apartment if you are a single grad-student looking to save money compared to other apartments in town.

Nob Hill 1-bedroom
Love my apartment. It’s near the Yard but much quieter, so convenient location to join in the fun but can also find a quiet break from school related activities. Collection of low brick buildings w 6 units in each. My unit has wood floors. Kitchen and bathroom a little outdated but fine (better than many you’d find in Boston). Management company has a presence on site and they are very helpful and responsive to any needs. Great amount of space for a single, and I have the smaller of the 1-bed floorplans.

Great affordable option
My partner and I wanted a two-bedroom apartment so she could work remotely, and many of the places in Ann Arbor were too expensive for this. Nob Hill has been perfect for us.
Pros:
-Reasonable rent
-Close to Ross
-Free parking
-Very responsive management
Cons:
-Dated/old
-No dishwasher
-Occasional maintenance issues (but always fixed promptly) due to age of building (especially plumbing)

West Side, Best Side
Overall living at Nob Hill has been good. It's about a 15 minute walk from the law school and the neighborhood is generally quiet. We are close to the marching band field, which can be exciting on game days, but also means that you hear all of their practices. The apartment complex is on the older side, some of the cabinets and plumbing are outdated, but our carpets and the stove and fridge were new. In comparison, I would say it is priced fairly. The walls can be a little thin and the floors creak, so if you're a light sleeper, you may have some difficulties.

Worth the hill
My apartment is wonderful, it's about a 15 minute walk from downtown and the law school. 5 minute walk to the stadium, Washtenaw Dairy, and around the corner from a convenience store. Parking is included, cats are allowed for a fee. No utilities are included but the apartment is very well insulated and thus relatively cheap to keep warm in the winter. The management team is very friendly and quick about maintenance requests. I once had them come out to fix a problem I had put in a request for the same day. Never had any problems with pests. They keep the sidewalks clear of snow and maintain the grounds very well. Even the older and non updated apartments have a cute 50s vibe. The only downsides I can think of is the relative smallness of the apartment and the very large hill you have to climb to get to it (but once you get used to it it's not bad). I'm keeping my lease for next year.
