Very good appartment

I'm an alien, who has started to live in U.S. last year. This is the first time to stay for me and my spouse to live in a foreign country. I had worried about safety, utility and staff's support. However, Everything is good here. I'm enjoying to live here because of good safety, utility and service which Bakery Living and its staffs offer.

A Graduate Student's Urban Oasis

Living at Bakery Living as a graduate student has been an absolute delight. The management team is fantastic, always ready to help with a smile, making life here smooth and enjoyable. The apartment itself is a dream for anyone studying and living alone, offering just the right mix of privacy and community.

Walking into the elegant lobby, you immediately feel at home, a feeling that extends to the beautiful garden and the well-equipped gym. These amenities not only add to the comfort and convenience of living here but also provide great spots to relax, exercise, and meet fellow residents.

The sense of community is further enhanced by the regular activities organized for residents, making it easy to make friends and feel connected, even when you're far from home. For a student, this balance of social opportunities and peaceful living spaces is perfect.

Another big plus is how easy it is to get to school and around the city, thanks to the apartment's great location near public transportation. This convenience saves time and stress, making daily commutes and exploring the city a breeze.

In short, this apartment is more than just a place to stay; it's a supportive, welcoming community that makes student life richer and more enjoyable. It's the perfect home away from home.

excellent for young professionals

Living at Bakery Living Blue in East Liberty has been a delight. The modern apartments are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, providing a comfortable living space. The on-site gym is equipped with great facilities and is always very clean. Management is also amazing and any issues or requests are promptly addressed, creating a sense of security and satisfaction among residents.

The location is good, with plenty of stores (target, trader joe) nearby making daily life convenient . Overally Bakery Blue living is highly recommended for young professionals!

Good amenities but small apartments and overpriced for the area

Good facilities: gym, pool, bike rack, meeting room, spaces to entertain.
Noise isolation is good too.
However, apartment units are small and is quite overpriced for the location.

Getting around Shadyside

Shadyside Reviews

As someone who does not own a car, accessibility was extremely important to me. I'm within a 7 minute walk of three bus lines that will get me to school in 20 minutes less, and just as close to bus lines that take me to CHP and St. Margaret's. I'm walking distance to several grocery stores and restaurants and just down the street from Walnut Street, which has coffee shops and some shopping.
Building borders on North Oakland and Shadyside. Nice neighborhoods just behind the building that have made for good running streets. Next to bus stops. Grocery store is not very walkable, but on a bus line and a short drive away by car.
I love Shadyside! The buses run quite often making it accessible to get anywhere I need to go, and there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores close.
Very nice neighborhood, close to restaurants, bars, shopping, groceries, and bus stops that take you anywhere in the city. Slightly pricey
Very safe and quiet! Access to all the major bus lines: 75, 71A, 71B, 71C, 71D which all come fairly frequently!
very safe and fun neighborhood to live in! Also very convenient and easy access to campus when needed.
Within walking distance to bars, restaurants, grocery stores, many public buses, and nice parks!
Excellent neighborhood. A lot of residential areas but also several restaurants and bars
