Best Living Experience!
I've cherished my time at Bakery Living and consider it a remarkable place to call home. I am going in year 4! One of its outstanding features is the proximity to essential amenities and transportation options, greatly enhancing daily convenience. The neighborhood is vibrant, offering a diverse array of dining and entertainment options that ensure there’s always something new to explore.
The management team and staff at Bakery Living is exceptional, promptly addressing any concerns and maintaining the building impeccably. Special recognition goes to Lori, Dave, and Henry for their exceptional service!
Moreover, Bakery Living offers fantastic amenities such as a well-equipped fitness center and a communal lounge area perfect for social gatherings. The in-unit features are also noteworthy, with modern appliances and spacious layouts contributing to the overall comfort of living here.

Excellent apartment
As a family coming from a different country, we were looking for a location that was close to our work, yet also a family -friendly and most importantly a safe environment. This apartment covers all our needs at it is close to many grocery stores, parks, and greenery. There is also an indoor pool and indoor playroom, so even if there is terrible weather, we can always find a place for our young child to play in.

Great apartment for professionals
My partner and I have been living here for 6 months. When we did the apartment hunting, their floorplan is one of the most reasonable designs in terms of size, shape, and window facing direction.
Equipment here is great. It has free coffee, free bagels on Saturday mornings, and 2-3 events every month. That said, as a generally introvert couple we also never had any complains w.r.t noise, so good balance of social and quietness!
We also love the gym and the bike room.
The maintenance is very responsive and efficient both in apt and in the public area.
We've never had any security related issues; Everything requires keycard access.
Price on the higher end in Pittsburgh, but I'd say it's worth it!

Amenities!
This building is modern and comfortable. The best feature of the property is the full multi-level gym. Free Panera bagels on Saturdays with other events every few weeks. All in all, this apartment is expensive for Pittsburgh but you get what you pay for here.

Satisfied with living at Bakery Living!
Bakery Living has been pretty good -- the facility and people are very comfortable and friendly, and my room's ceiling is very high, and happy with the room's architecture. Happy to live here!

Great location and plenty of ammenities, but lots of noise and high cost.
This building has a lot going for it - it's new in a market that skews older; has tons of amenities, including a 24 hour gym in both buildings; laundry in every unit; very responsive maintenance; and a great location in a quiet neighborhood. After living here for a couple of years, there have been a handful drawbacks I've noticed, too. The biggest among these is noise insulation. Sound from adjacent units isn't terrible, but expect to hear your upstairs neighbors' every footstep. And given how pet friendly the property is, barking dogs are sometimes an issue. Apartments positioned near the building's many common/social areas are also subject to tremendous noise, especially if another resident decides to use them for a large party. Second, the layout of the building clearly wasn't very well thought out. Some units have balconies positioned directly in front of the windows of another unit, and lots of apartments have very limited views (or worse, sight lines directly into other units or the commercial office buildings directly across the street).
Overall, this has by no means been a bad place to live, but I wish I would have been made aware of more of the nuances of my specific unit before moving in. Potential residents should make sure they tour the specific unit they are interested in to get a good idea of the surroundings. Personally, I would opt for a unit on the outside of the building (facing away from the courtyard) on an upper floor, to best mitigate the noise issue.
Lastly, the cost of living in this building is not particularly excessive for the neighborhood, but there can be a little bit of a tradeoff between square footage vs amenities. And in addition to base rent, residents are responsible for all of the following:
- Electric (including heat)
- Water and sewer (automatically added into the rent payment each month and subject to a mandatory $4.45 processing fee)
- Internet
- Parking ($120/month)
- Pet rent (I believe $30-$50 each month)

Luxury apartment, perfect for professionals
My partner and I have been living here for six months. We toured quite a few luxury apartments, but decided to move here mostly because we felt the environment, facilities, and floor plans are the most ideal. Some highlights:
1. The floor plans have reasonable size, shape, layout, and window facing direction.
2. The open area is well-equipped. We love the gym, the bike room, the coffee machine, the free Saturday bagel, and the little backyard the most. Also looking forward to try BBQ!
3. The social opportunities are rich. The apt hosts 2-3 social events every month. My partner and I are more on the introvert side so we haven't been to much of it, but at the same time we never had any complaints about noise, so good balance!
4. The maintenance team is responsible both for in-apt requests (light bulbs) and open areas (coffee machines get fixed quite quickly!)
5. We haven't had any security related issues.
Price is definitely on the higher end of the market (was probably the second most expensive place we toured), but we think it's worth it.
