Evo at Cira Centre South reviews and highlights
- Lots of Drexel Students
- Floors have an "industrial look"
- All rooms have their own bathroom
- Awesome amenities, furnished units, and utilities are included
- Some of the undergrads can be rowdy and noise travels easily from room to room
- The view and the location are excellent
- Bedrooms are on the smaller side, but have efficient layouts
- Management is excellent, but the overall quality of units could be better
- Lots of study rooms and tons of great amenities including an amazing gym and pool
- Very responsive management
Overall okay but new management incoming
The walls are thin. The water bill is usually low. The electricity bill is usually $0. There's free printing but it's usually in high demand. The views are great on both sides. People sometimes steal packages from the package room :(. As of 11/03/2025 they are switching to new management. Slow on maintenance.

Good location for travelling
This apartment is super close to the 30th street train station and the Peter Pan bus stop, which makes it an awesome place to stay if you're a person who's always late for trains, or would like to do a daytrip to nyc and stay late. Its 3b3b's are super spacious, and it would be a good place to stay if you want personal space. Walls are thin though - so if you don't want to cause trouble among your roommates, don't blast music in your room. There are also tiny roaches in the apartment, but very tolerable, because they're of a limited number with the pest control efforts going on in the apartment. You can see center city's view on the rooftop (free pool located there too). It's gorgeous. It's also affordable with all the deals going on. It should be $200 cheaper each month on average if there's a promotion.

Great amenities/location, terrible maintenance
Location and amenities are nice. Maintenance is terrible, and common spaces are dirty. Some apartments have roaches.

AMAZING Location, mediocre management & unit
The location of this apartment is the only reason I live here. It's a 5 minute walk from Amtrak, 10 minute walk to my favorite cafe is Rittenhouse, 12 minute walk to the school. Cira Green is connected to the apartment so it is easy access. There are bus stops and trolley lines right in front of the apartment. The apartment itself is outdated. I do not like the exposed concrete or the tiles in the bathroom.

Decent but Expensive
Everything at the apartment is "fake nice." It new construction, new appliances, but just built very shoddily. Does the job though. A lot of international students live here.

Experience
At first, I was really disappointed when I moved in. The previous renters trashed the whole apartment and the maintenance did not clean up the space after. I had to do some deep cleaning. After a few weeks things were good. You get full access to CIRA green rooftop, bakery downstairs, and rooftop pool

Great Location
Evo is a great choice! There has been a change in management this year! New management has been doing a great job!

Great location, bad management
Location is great for access to the med campus, undergraduate campus/facilities like Pottruck (the main gym), as well as pretty good access to both Center City and University City. Right next to the Amtrak station which is great as well. Main upside is that most apartments here come with individual bathrooms, but the rooms and common spaces for multi bed apartments are small unless you splurge on the pricier floor plans. Management is pretty bad to work with, which is the main reason I would not want to recommend this building to others. The building is pretty much just students because nobody else would reasonably be willing to live here.

Convenient location, terrible management
Had terrible problems with management. Moved in and found the washing machine entirely caked with mold, and management insisted it wasn't mold and did not adequately clean it.
Management was consistently unresponsive to maintenance issues.
The "industrial" look was fine in pictures, but was terrible IRL. Concrete floors that were super scuffed, exposed concrete walls. Super dirty carpets.
Really loud and mostly undergraduate students. Super thin walls.
Location was convenient since it was right on the border between UCity and Center City. Moved out after 1 year.
Benefit is that it's furnished.

University City Reviews
- Close to campus (~20 min walk, ~8 min trolley ride)
- Generally safe because University City in general has been highly gentrified.
- Charming and diverse community
- CLARK PARK! (and the Farmers' Market!!!)
Cons:
- No nearby grocery stores (except Fresh Grocer which is gross)
- Can be sketchy after dark
