I have lived here for less than 3 weeks and am in the process of moving out. I have been threatened with physical violence by my neighbors after they learned that I made a noise complaint against them to one of the doormen. One of the doormen or apartment managers gave them my name and apartment number prompting them to begin threatening me. These neighbors were constantly screaming, cursing, breaking things, the smell of weed from their apartment seeped into my apartment. They would blast the tv and music at all hours of the day/night, typically from 10pm-3am on all week/weekend nights. I was cornered in the mailroom by 2 of the men that live in the apartment and told that if I ever complained again there would be "grave consequences". About 45 after this threat, that occurred on 5/5/2025, the neighbors sent 3 men (all over 6 ft tall and 200 pounds each) to bang on my door, screaming at me to open up. I refused to open the door and for 10 minutes I watched through the peep hole as the men threatened to "jump me". They kept banging on the door and tried opening it multiple times, to the point that I had to put a chair in front of the door. The police have been called multiple times on these specific neighbors and the apartment management office refuses to do anything. While I was cornered by 2 men in the mailroom the neighbor said "I've lived here for 6 years, [he] won't do s*** to me". This is NOT A SAFE LIVING PLACE. I give it 0 stars.For the price of rent at The Oyster it should be safe for tenants. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVER LIVING HERE.
