The management is poor

1. Overall location : 5/5( Executive park shuttle)
2. Management: 2/5 (They do not work on complaints)
3. Pest control: 1/5 (There are a lot of cockroaches, the management does little to no help)
4. Gym/pool: 2/5( Not that clean and not that many equipments)

Decent price for renovated units and location

Decent place, cheaper rent than MAA for renovated units at essentially same location. Smaller community feel means more attention when requested from maintenance, more quickly than I’ve heard about from MAA friends.

Quick drive to Emory campus. Nice balcony. Good for pets (not a high-rise and doggie potty stations throughout property.

Sloan Square is A-OK!

I love the layout of my apartment, especially the kitchen with an island instead of being closed off from the rest of the place, as you'd expect from a typical apartment built at the time. Everything in my unit was recently updated and all the appliances are fairly new (less than five years old). Washer and dryer are included, and are located in the closet which I personally find convenient. There is ample parking and for the most part is safe - there has only been one reported break in that I know of in my 8 months of residence. The community is generally quiet and walls are sound proof enough that I rarely hear my neighbors. It's a short walk to the Executive Park Emory shuttle route and a Whole Foods, and a short drive to Publix, Kroger, and Target. There have been minimal pests in my unit, but it may be because I live on the third floor, so YMMV.

Horribly managed property at a good location

They could do a far better job. The management company doesn't care about employees or residents. Leasing office employees keep changing every 6 months.

Sloan Square

Sloan Square has been under many managements in the last 2 years. However, the current team is doing their best to improve of its past shortcomings. I relate this complex to underdogs who you want to root for. Decent price for the location but prices might skyrocket.

Getting around North Druid Hills

North Druid Hills Reviews

150 reviews
It's a prime location for getting around the city! I can get to midtown, Decatur, inman park, etc. in about a 20 min drive or less. The drive to school each morning is about 10-15 mins with little to no traffic. The area is safe with tons of restaurants and shopping. The only downside is that it's not close to any prime nightlife scene, but Ubers aren't too expensive. Incredibly safe which is something I was looking for as a woman living alone. There's no perfect place, but for the amount of space I have (850 sq ft), safety, proximity to school, and easy access to other areas in the city, it can't be beat.
North Druid Hills is a lovely neighborhood and one that I am happy to be living in as my first exposure to Atlanta. There are beautiful tree lined streets and its proximity to Emory is a great selling point.
Beautiful houses and trees, calm, quiet community.
It's an open area with trees. Very close to Emory campus as well as the Toco Hills plaza (Kroger, Publix, many restaurants). Further down Clairmont at the intersection with North Decatur road, there's another Publix as well as some other restaurants in the plaza.

Golden Drop Cafe--which has outdoor seating incase the pandemic is still uncontrolled when you read this--is just 3 min. down the road. Mason Mill Park, which has tennis courts, a pavillion, and walking trails, is also very near.
Very convenient location as far being somewhat close to a lot of different areas though it itself isn't where the night life or all the best restaurant areas are. Lots of grocery options very close by, including Whole Foods, Krogers and Publix.
My wife and I love walking through the beautiful homes in the local neighborhood. It is a very safe area even at night.
You can find any type of store or restaurant that you would ever need within a 5-15 minute drive.
My wife and I go on walks around sunset most nights through the neighborhood. Have never felt unsafe. Neighbors are all very friendly along our walks. Lots of beautiful homes to gawk at.
