Apartment in an upcoming community

Great management company with some amenities. It used to be a very dangerous neighborhood as I went to school in the area a decade ago. Now it is a very popular and safe neighborhood. My building especially as there are doormen and a gate to get through. My rent is pretty decent for this area. I love living here.

Very neighborhood-y feel with easy access to Fort Green Park and tons of amazing food.
I've never felt unsafe in my immediate neighborhood. I've walked home from the Jay Street metro late at night with no issues - the promenade is well lit and tends to be fairly well-trafficked.

Although the access to public transit is great, there's not a whole lot to do in the neighborhood. The one good thing is Dekalb market, a food hall.
Neighborhood is lacking in nightlife/restaurants/bars, etc. Safety is probably average - I've walked home via the Myrtle Promenade late at night and I haven't had issues but it may feel a bit unsafe since it clears out late at night. There have been isolated incidents of gun violence in the neighborhood according to apps like Citizen. This sounds bad, but it is probably average for many parts of Brooklyn unfortunately.
Not much of a neighborhood. It does have a supermarket and a decent wine store, but beyond that I don't go anywhere in the immediate neighborhood. However, there are several great neighborhoods nearby.
Everything is nearby, best location ever!
Close to so many great neighborhoods (Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, Clinton Hill, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill), which means there are plenty of restaurant options in every direction. A few blocks from Fort Greene Park, a mile from the Promenade, and 2 miles from Prospect Park (so lots of options for running). A mile from Barclays Center. Almost every subway you can think of is within a 12 minute walk.
This is a small neighborhood so close to so many things. It is super safe and has tons of bars and restaurants nearby.
Great neighborhood. Lots of delicious restaurants, and pretty safe.
