Chocolate Works 1Bd 1Bth Review

I love it here! I appreciate how far away it is from campus, which means I have at least 30ish minutes to read an e-book, listen to music, or take longer if I want to get my daily exercise in.

It is pricey, but if you can afford it, there are amenities. It stays pretty temperature regulated, so electricity isn't much. It is pretty big, and management has always been incredibly helpful and quick with whatever issue I'm having.

I want to live in a home where I am comfortable and happy. So, for me, paying more for this place has been well worth it.

But, if you want to be close to everything within an easy walk, and if you're on a tighter budget, Chocolate Works probably will be tough.

Good place to live in old city

Have been in the apartment for more than a year now and really enjoying it. The location is unbeatable, close to almost everything. What's more important is you could find parking spot with permit parking, though it is not a very easy task. Management is friendly and efficient. The only down side is you might find roaches etc. from time to time, which is kind of not avoidable in the city.

Great place.

This apartment is in a great location. Easy access to Center City, surrounded by coffee shops and art museums. I love living here. The apartment itself is perfect for a single, working professional. The staff is responsive and reliable, I love having a doorman.

We love our neighborhood. I think being north of Market street is a most in old city. We are on a quiet cobblestone street away from the noise and rowdiness of market street. We have great artisan shops and restaurants around us and a perfect local coffee shop just outside our door. I love our area and encourage friends who live in Rittenhouse or grad hospital to walk the extra blocks on a nice Saturday to shop local and enjoy this great side of the city.
Old City is a neighborhood where all ages can find something to do and enjoy. It's generally a very safe area with lots of beautiful things to see.
Old City is beautiful and historic. The building is a 10-15 minute walk from the real Old City. This building is more on that industrial border between Old City and NoLib/Fishtown.
Can be a bit tourist-filled at times, but there is always something to do!
We have a great neighborhood with a bunch of things going on.
Living in Old City has been great - it's a really convenient location, close to public transit, and feels much safer than other places in Philadelphia. Lots of greats bars and restaurants nearby. That said, the rent is pretty expensive so it might be a wider idea to purchase rather than rent.
Old City has revitalized like no other: great for couples, singles, young families and working professionals. Endless shopping and dining and safe to boot! I have never loved a neighborhood so much.
Old City is a beautiful and lively neighborhood. Only drawback is lack of a good grocery store and difficulty finding street parking.
