Great location

Great location and a pretty spacious apartment. Although we live in an older unit, maintenance is quick and efficient if we have an issue. Being right by the hospital and fire station, we get a lot of road noise, but not a lot of noise from people walking by.

Accessible and Convenient

This is about a 20-25 minute walk from Owen. So, it's a nice walk if you are trying to squeeze exercise into your busy schedule. It is also conveniently located near the neighborhood grocery store, a dry cleaners, and the hardware store. The main area of Hillsboro village with places to eat and the local post office is also only a few walkable blocks away.

Great location and spacious apartment

This apartment is in an ideal location, being only a 5 minute walk away from Hillsboro Village shops and restaurants (like Pancake Pantry, Jeni's, etc.). It is also a 5 minute walk (2 minute drive) from Kroger. There is a 2-story parking garage for apartment residents, and parking is included in the rent and utilities payment, which is super convenient! There is an outdoor courtyard with tables and chairs for residents as well. The apartment complex is gated and feels secure. It is pet-friendly!

Hayes House

I loved hayes house, it was 5 minutes away from Belmont, which was awesome when I had 8am classes however, this apartment was rather expensive as my part was about $1,100. I would say if money is not your biggest concern, live here! If you have a smaller budget, look elsewhere.

Hayes House

Great location to be able to walk to Belmont, Hillsboro Village and Kroger. Apartment is older style, but great amount of space compared to newer apartment complexes for a similar price. Great amenities: pool, gym, business sweet, and parking garage.

Cute townhouse complex

Our experience at this townhouse has been mostly positive, with the single exception of some plumbing issues. The townhouse is close to school, affordable, and attractive. However it is a little bit older and thus has old piping that leads to occasional plumbing issues. The landlady has been responsive to our issues so far. Hillsboro Village is very safe with lots of other students in apartments and townhouses nearby. It is also very close to the med school and the hospital, allowing for a short walk.

Hayes House

Great location and amenities and many units. Management isn't always on top of things but issues are usually fixed within 3 days. Poorly managed package system.

Getting around Hillsboro Westend

Hillsboro Westend Reviews

At Acklen Flats, you're right above Jeni's and Double Dogs, across the way from Fido, and within walking distance of anything in Hillsboro Village.
I am obsessed with this neighborhood. I love easy access to the shops on 21st ave (Fido's, Jeni's, Hopdoddy, now a Crumbl cookies!!!). I am also a runner and love the surrounding neighborhoods I explore on my running routes through this neighborhood- many of which are cute houses with families, Belmont area if you want a walk around their beautiful campus and surrounding areas. Overall very pleased with this neighborhood.

It does not feel safe 100% of the time (mostly late at night), but for the most part it feels friendly and safe. I say this because in three years I have been here, we have had someone break into my car as well as someone try to get into our apartment. These may be random, isolated incidents, and is probably 'safe' relative to most big city/urban areas!
The Hillsboro Westend location has been great for my time in the program thus far! I am able to walk to a bus stop about 10-15 minutes away so that I do not need a yearly parking pass (I pay for daily parking if I need it on a clinical day!). This location is right next to the highway, multiple grocery stores, and 21st Street where there are lots of fun restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend this area!
Great neighborhood with lots of families. Very safe to walk/run in. People are always walking dogs or out and about early in the morning through the evening. About a block from Elmington park which has events such as movies in the park and food trucks all summer. A beautiful and safe neighborhood about 3 miles from downtown and 1 mile from Vanderbilt.
Hillsboro Village has a cute downtown with some good coffee shops and stores. I love being able to walk 5 min from my apt to restaurants because parking can be tricky. That said, I do hear a lot of traffic since my bedroom window faces 21st Ave S.
This is the ideal neighborhood for Vanderbilt students! Close to campus, accessible to the grocery store, restaurants on 21st, and not very far (a few miles) from Downtown (an easy Uber ride or even walk!)
Walkable to the university, downtown shopping, grocery stores, and Walgreens and CVS. A quiet neighborhood with lots of students and families. It has nice roads to run/walk on and many parks.
I've always felt safe walking home from the hospital at all hours of the day/night. Plenty of restaurants/coffee shops/bars within walking distance; nice neighborhoods for running as well.
