I loved living here!

It was a great location that was walking distance to school, food, grocery stores, and close to bus lines so I could get downtown easily. About a mile from AU and a mile from Georgetown which was an ideal location. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was more a mix of young professionals and other older residents. It was definitely better for a grad students like myself who did not want to be living amongst undergrads. The apartments are pretty spacious and the grounds are clean and well kept. The property manager is wonderful as well and the maintenance team is very quick to respond.

It's spacious and great for one person, it has a very safe feel and the neighborhood has restaurants and supermarkets pretty close by. Close to a library, but the downside is that there is no metro close to the neighborhood. Off street parking is available at an additional charge.

About Glover Park

Apart from Wisconsin Avenue which is a commercial street, Glover Park is very residential and homely with all its prime locations just a few blocks away. After work hours could be spent at the Breadsoda with its excellent beer while Weekends can be spent taking a stroll at the community gardens or w...

Getting around Glover Park

Glover Park Reviews

The neighborhood is very quiet and seems to be family-oriented. There are always people out on a walk. Everything seems to be very safe.
The only downside is poor public transportation access. There are no metro stops nearby. There is one bus (D2) right outside, which goes to Dupont Circle. Buses like 30, 31, and 33 are also accessible by a short walk. Not bad overall, but can make commutes somewhat long.
I love Glover Park. It is much more neighborhood than city. Wisconsin Ave has a good selection of restaurants and shops in walking distance. It's about a mile downhill to Georgetown University. Coming home, that mile is uphill! Decent bus service, no metro service at all. Uber has it covered very well.
Glover Park is an extremely safe area. It has tons of food options along with basically anything else you could need. The downside is it is not near any public transportation and the cost of living is veru high. It is extremely popular for young adults to move their after college graudation. Definitely a young, fun enviroment.
Glover Park feels like a small town in a big city. Full of quiet side streets that are great for walking/running. I feel very safe riding my bike to campus, to DuPont, to Georgetown, etc. It's a mix of students and young families, so I feel very safe.
Excellent neighborhood, quiet and close to short trail walks that take you directly into nature. Although there is no metro, there is a well-connected bus system. Trader Joe's and Safeway are both not too far and school is a good walk.
Safe area, walking distance to necessities, not a lot of noise, mix of young professionals right out of college and young families, decent amount of restaurants
Cozy suburb within DC. Lots of young families so neighbors are nice. Nice restaurants in the area, but not a very lively nightlife per se.
Easy access to whole foods, fast casual restaurants, good bar scene (Town Hall, Mad Fox, Bread Soda), Monday night trivia at Bread Soda!
