Great but for a few things

Great but wish there was free laundry! Bonus would be a pool or free parking.

Great apartment if have dogs and like parks

This is a pretty standard 1-bedroom apartment: nothing fancy or interesting architecturally, but the management seems good and it is very pet-friendly. The management was great during the snow storm clearing the side walks very quickly and providing shovels to residents to dig out their cars.
The location is great if you care about safety and like green space but it is a pain to use the bus to get to other parts of DC. The Glover park bus (D2) is not the most reliable, but it works.

Eaves Tulaw Gardens

Great value apartment complex, well-managed, and in good condition. Some minor wear and tear issues, but were quickly resolved by maintenance.Building is generally well maintained, safety has never been an issue. Building is mostly populated by students and young couples but noise has not been a persistent issue.

Big and inexpensive apartments

If you don't mind living far from the metro, this is a great location! We are right on a bus line, so getting downtown is easy. I ride my bike or run to work, and the commute takes like 20 minutes. Our apartment is HUGE, and we pay about what it could cost to rent a one bedroom in Dupont Circle. The building has free access to another building owned by the same management company, so we can use the gym, roof deck, and business center. All utilities are included. Management can be a little bit annoying regarding packages, as most packages are delivered to the leasing office, which has normal business hours, meaning that people who work during the day can't pick up packages on weekdays! They have not been very helpful about this... one time I had an important package and I called and asked them to leave it inside the front door of my building. The guy said he "would try," and then never did.

Excellent location

The location is perfect close to Safeway, Giant, Whole Foods and buses that get you to various locations around the city. The apartment it self is okay its an older building so there are some quirks about it things break here and there but thats understandable. Management is okay nothing good or bad.

Quiet neighborhood good value

So far my experience with AvalonCommunities has been very positive. They are always friendly and fixed something in the apartment in a timely manner. Not a lot of amenities but a good value for the price and property is kept clean. They also provide doggie bags and are very dog friendly, which is great for us!

Lovely place to live

Glover Park is a nice place to live at a fairly reasonable price. The surrounding area feels safe and quiet, but you are still very well connected to other more active parts of the city by public transit. The building itself is clean and the units are spacious. I haven't had any repair issues so far (fingers crossed), but management and staff seem pretty friendly

Nice studio in Glover Park

I've enjoyed living at Eaves Tunlaw Gardens--management has responded quickly to all service requests (fixing garbage disposal and air conditioning within 24 hours of notification) and the overall atmosphere is of a safe, relatively affordable apartment complex. While I don't have a pet, the buildings are pet friendly for all sizes of cats and dogs.

Getting around Glover Park

Glover Park Reviews

58 reviews
The neighborhood is very quiet and seems to be family-oriented. There are always people out on a walk. Everything seems to be very safe.
The only downside is poor public transportation access. There are no metro stops nearby. There is one bus (D2) right outside, which goes to Dupont Circle. Buses like 30, 31, and 33 are also accessible by a short walk. Not bad overall, but can make commutes somewhat long.
I love Glover Park. It is much more neighborhood than city. Wisconsin Ave has a good selection of restaurants and shops in walking distance. It's about a mile downhill to Georgetown University. Coming home, that mile is uphill! Decent bus service, no metro service at all. Uber has it covered very well.
Glover Park is an extremely safe area. It has tons of food options along with basically anything else you could need. The downside is it is not near any public transportation and the cost of living is veru high. It is extremely popular for young adults to move their after college graudation. Definitely a young, fun enviroment.
Glover Park feels like a small town in a big city. Full of quiet side streets that are great for walking/running. I feel very safe riding my bike to campus, to DuPont, to Georgetown, etc. It's a mix of students and young families, so I feel very safe.
Excellent neighborhood, quiet and close to short trail walks that take you directly into nature. Although there is no metro, there is a well-connected bus system. Trader Joe's and Safeway are both not too far and school is a good walk.
Safe area, walking distance to necessities, not a lot of noise, mix of young professionals right out of college and young families, decent amount of restaurants
Cozy suburb within DC. Lots of young families so neighbors are nice. Nice restaurants in the area, but not a very lively nightlife per se.
Easy access to whole foods, fast casual restaurants, good bar scene (Town Hall, Mad Fox, Bread Soda), Monday night trivia at Bread Soda!
