Duval Villas

Relatively reasonably priced and conveniently located (10ish minute bus, bike, or 25 minute walk) to campus. In a good neighborhood across the street from a grocery store (expensive) and a few good food options. Management is pretty absentee but maintenenance is very responsive/competent. Definitely recommend overall if you don't mind living outside of walking distance and want a more neighborhood-y feel compared to Hancock.

Not the right fit for MBA students

As a student new to Austin (and the US), my recommendation would be to live either closer to campus (within walking distance, lower rent) or a bit further away (premium, connected by bus). Duval Villa is somewhere in between these two options (further away and connected by bus, but not premium enough for the price).

It's good

bus stop right in front makes it convenient, walking distance to HEB & Fresh Plus, coffee shops also in front and only a 20 minute walk to school in case you miss the bus

Management is on site and responsive, nice grounds, easy to get to campus with or without a car
