Candler Park - Great place to live

I wanted to live in a part of Atlanta where I can bike/walk to school as well as to other places in city. I also did not want to live in a large apartment complex.

I am 2 miles from campus and bike to school through a beautiful neighborhood. I am right off a bike path that takes me all around town. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. I also looked at Inman Park, Reynoldstown, Little Five Points, Virginia Highlands, and Kirkwood.

Although my rental is a house that will not have occupancy anytime soon, I must recommend looking at neighborhoods South and Southwest of campus. One of the biggest complaints myself and other students have about Atlanta is that it is difficult to drive here and things can feel spread out. If you live North of campus, your dependency on a car increases and you are further away from the "hip" parts of town.

Small, but great location.

It's been great to live in. It's mostly quiet, they don't charge too much, and we're close to everything. We have a cat. My main wish is that we had a yard to go along with it. But, there is space outside to walk dogs in. I never feel like I am not safe. And everything is about location. Most places are a $5-6 uber ride away.
