Charming, homey, 1920s Aparment

My apartment is about 5 minutes walking from Hillsboro Village and 15-20 minutes walking from the Law School. It is also about a 3 minute walk from a bus that passes school, green hills, and broadway. Also, when I walk I can leave my house, cross the street, and remain on Vanderbilt campus for the entire walk to school.

The street is pleasant and safe, and the neighbors and landlord are kind. This apartment is great if you like old buildings--think big windows, wood floors, and high ceilings. They are clean and recently renovated. If you are looking for an apartment with the perks of a high-rise unit, this is not the place. It has in-window air units, no elevator, and does not have a dishwasher. However, it is a gorgeous place with a great kitchen, and it feels like home and part of the Nashville community. If you are looking for a place where you'll know your neighbors and be close to great coffee, restaurants and an indie movie theater, then you'll love living here!

great location & apartment space

I got really lucky - I learned about this apartment from someone I know who has lived here for a few years. I love the location (about 0.5 mi from VDS), and I love how much charm the apartment has since it’s in a 100+ yr old building. Bedroom includes a walk-in closet with dresser drawers and 3 clothing racks. Living room includes an office nook. The entire unit also has original windows and hardwood floors! Parking is very limited but each unit has one included spot. AC is a window unit, heat is gas radiators. Kitchen came with a fridge + microwave included. Management is very personal + responsive which is also a plus. There are occasional issues related to the age of the building but in my experience it has been worth it, I really love living here.

Too expensive, management is very sketchy and manipulative, laundry services are terrible, cockroaches, but very pretty old building and right next to campus

As close as you can be to campus!

Our building is old but well maintained. The units are all one size, containing one large bedroom and living room plus a small kitchen and bathroom. It is comfortable for a single person or couple. Can walk to eskind in under 10 minutes...

Easily accessible and cheap 1 bd unit.

Overall I have had a great experience in this medium-sized apartment complex. Parking is located within 15 feet from the backdoor and each unit has two entrances and exits. There is plenty of sunlight and the landlord can always be easily contacted via text or phone-call. The Hillsboro Village area is excellent and one of the biggest advantages that drew me to the place was that it is a 5 minute walk to the Children's hospital and a 10 minute walk to Eskind. Packages are delivered right outside either the front or back doors and it is very easy to have guests over. Overall, the apartment is easily accessible, extremely close to school, and is in a great location about 5-10 minute walks from Fido, Pancake Pantry, Pizza Perfect, K-bobs, Double Dogs, and much more. Only thing to note is that the complex does not allow pets.
